Tales from the Pandemic is a YT Series that Highlights Murphy Medical Associates and Dr Murphy's reporting from the front lines of the historic COVID19 Pandemic. He reviews developments and gives guidance and treatments when they develop. In this episode he talks about governmental misdirection of supplies as towns like Westport a hotspot of the early pandemic didn't have testing supplies and had to ration their last 10 tests. Our own team had to start creating it's own supplies and helped give supplies to towns. Hospitals had all the supplies they could ever need. Yet weren't prepared to test in the communities. Also the hospitals were turning patients away from testing and refusing testing of patients. We tested all those who were turned away. Come watch History as it unfolds! 25 March 2020.

In this episode, Dr. Murphy Launches Two new sites. One in an underserved hot spot in The City of New Haven, the other in affluent Bedford, NY Westchester County- Epicenter of the first outbreak, where many undocumented workers were contracting the virus and not being cared for. Despite complaints and confusion from those who should know better he persists. Tired of Watching the devastation in Nursing Homes and in Underserved Communities he finalizes the plans for testing in the Nursing Homes where the mortality rates were skyrocketing in Connecticut, despite the efforts of CT Department of Health. Doctor Murphy immediately recognized the pathology of the disease based on previous knowledge for other viruses. He knew that this virus would infect many organs and many patients needed more than "Just a Covid Test". This process led to ZERO, that's right ZERO DEATHS from the patients Murphy Medical cared for in this first wave. Strapped for supplies, Dr Murphy allies with New Haven Department of Public Health to source supplies for this next push for testing. In this episode, Doctor Murphy debuts testing at a historic Mixed Residential Community, forming a bond with New Haven that persists a year later. Dr Murphy deploys further inner city testing in the most dense city of Connecticut, Bridgeport. Little did he know this would upset FQHC programs and governmental employees for stepping on "THEIR TURF".
Accused of being disruptive for telling all early on that #COVIDISAIRBORNE he continues to protect healthcare workers in hospitals by pushing for proper policies while exposing the poor choices made by hospital systems in regards to PPE for hospital employees. The decision was tough granted, but not if you focus on protecting the front lines. An enemy is still hidden but lurks closely in the shadows, seeding problems that come to bite Murphy soon enough. Possible candidates include the hospital system managers and insurer "analysts" who continue to be frustrated by the virus and by Dr Murphy's candor. While Murphy continues to battle the virus in Two States and Three counties, Insurance companies escalate their assault on their target. Refusing to pay and forcing Murphy Medical to beg for PPE is the first strategy of these companies. The second is far worse.
Doctor Murphy highlights the mistakes made by governments and governmental organizations such as the CDC and even VP Pence. No more was this true than the recognition of airborne transmission. Moving from flattening the curve to eliminating the threat, Dr Murphy highlights the issues that will affect the ability of healthcare workers. These include the executives inside hospitals, insurance companies and governmental entities.
