Dying Light 2 EP8
Dying Light 2 is the 2022 Sequel to the original 2015 Dying Light by Polish game studio Techland. It is an open world parkour zombie surival game, similar to the first. Techland has a long history of Zombie titles, stretching back to Dead Island in 2012. and Dead Island: Riptide in 2013.
Dying light 2 emphasizes timed forays out at night in order to keep the player's infection from turning them. You must utilize climbing and jumping to move around the rooftops of the city to avoid the more dangerous street level. Combat is somewhat simple, but engaging, melee hack and slash, with some archery mixed in. Notably absent in this entry are firearms, which were present in the first game. Pillars of Eternity is a 2015 isometric role playing game by Obsidian Entertainment. It is similar in style to the Infinity Engine line of games that were popular in the late 1990's and early 2000's.

The Ascent is a gritty, dark cyberpunk top-down "double thumbstick shooter". It has major Bladerunner vibes with a good mix of alien sci-fi. You start the game as an "indent" or "indentured servant" doing lowly jobs for the Ascent Group, A giant Megacorporation. Things quickly go from bad to worse. Terminator: Resistance was made in 2019. Developed by a polish studio Teyon. Set in the Terminator Universe, it takes place during the War of the Machines. It references T1 and T2 exclusively, thankfully ignoring all of the other horrendous trash that came after the first two films. It is a first person shooter with some strong RPG elements. While not cutting edge in graphics or gameplay innovations, the game does an excellent job with atmospherics and using what works. The audio and music in the game are stellar. It doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, but at the same time is fun and engaging. I hope you like the play through.
