Firing up the RGN (Retro Gaming Nook) Emulator to play one of my favorites, Chips Challenge for the Atari Lynx. If you like the style of this puzzle game there is a modernized-retro version available for free now on Steam!
Chip's Challenge is a classic puzzle game that was initially released for Atari Lynx in 1989 by publisher Epyx. The game gained immense popularity and was later released for Windows in 1992 by Microsoft. The game was created by Chuck Sommerville, who also created other puzzle games like Chuck's Challenge 3D and Tile World.
In the game, the player controls the protagonist, Chip McCallahan, as he navigates through various levels filled with obstacles and puzzles. The ultimate goal is to collect all the computer chips in each level and then reach the exit within a set time limit. The game is presented in an overhead view, and the player can move Chip in four directions.
The levels in Chip's Challenge are designed to be challenging, and each level introduces new obstacles and puzzles for the player to solve. Some of the obstacles include walls, locked doors, and water, while the puzzles include using items such as keys, boots, and bombs to overcome the obstacles.
The game also features various enemies such as fireballs, bugs, and monsters that can harm Chip. To avoid these enemies, Chip can either avoid them or use items such as blocks and traps to defeat them.
The Windows version of Chip's Challenge features scaled back graphics and sound compared to the Atari Lynx version. The game was bundled with the Windows Entertainment Pack, which included other classic games like Minesweeper and Solitaire.
Despite its age, Chip's Challenge remains a popular game among puzzle enthusiasts, and it has been ported to various platforms over the years, including mobile devices and game consoles.
In conclusion, Chip's Challenge is a classic puzzle game that has stood the test of time. The game's challenging levels and unique puzzles make it a must-play for anyone who enjoys puzzle games. The game's popularity has led to numerous ports and adaptations over the years, but the original versions for Atari Lynx and Windows remain the most iconic. With its simple gameplay mechanics and endless replayability, Chip's Challenge is a game that will continue to entertain and challenge players for generations to come.

A full round from Her Majesty's Open... Hold up now, does that sound a bit saucy???
Her Majesty's Open at TOC is a clone of The Old Course at St.Andrews. From the makers of The Golf Club comes PGA Tour 2K21. A soothing and remarkably "meh" game of video golf. Now that the price has bottomed out I can actually recommend it, especially if it's your first golf game.

Here is some gameplay of Satan's Hollow from 1982, an arcade game by Bally Midway. Bally Midway was purchased by Williams shortly after. It was an interesting time for video game companies. Satan's Hollow used a joystick just like the one found on Tron arcade machines.
Enjoy!

Got this way back in the late 90s in a $7.99 software bin when I was working at Staples. I have not seen it running for over a decade but finally got it working solidly on an older Vista PC with a cheap onboard Intel GPU and Dos Box. If there's a matchup you want to see comment and I'll run it.
