NEC VE281X DLP Projector Lamp Replacement/Timer Reset
I worked on one of these last year and had to learn how to reset the lamp timer. This unit was sent in with a vague description of the issue. Turned out the lamp had failed, the timer needed resetting and someone else had tried to fix it and put screws in the wrong place.
Worked out find. On its way back to the end user. Uses an NP18LP lamp.
Installing a power cord with an IEC C14 end on a tail that will go into a 3D printed end cap that will then affix itself to the end of a 4 foot T8 style LED tube. This F48T8 LED tube was more useful as a mounted fixture so I made some ends on my Bibo ,printed out of white PLA. This light worked out great over my bench with some others.

My folks have a small pool at their house and did not like the RGB or coolwhite light provided by these floating solar lights. I offered to retrofit the slow flash RGB and cool white LEDs with some 5mm Warm White LEDs. Sorry for the lack of vids. I had some minor surgery recently and have been slow to mend. Feeling much better today. More repair videos in the editing phase. Thanks for watching!

This is one of my old Wyze cam V2 camera's that lived outside for two years. I had it stuck via its magnet to a metal disc that was secured to some siding with some 3M tape. It was totally exposed to the elements of the Eastern USA.
Late last summer, I power washed the siding and the cameras. A few months later, this camera stopped responding. I had replaced it with a new Wyze Cam V3 but figured it was worth a look over in case it was something repairable. The connector had become corroded and lost it's connection. I didn't have any standup micro-usb and since this is a $25(new) camera, I was not spending any money on parts. I dug into the scrap box and harvested a flat mount connector from a dead WeMo board.
Some creative soldering later and I had a working camera again.
The camera currently monitors one of my 3D printers as you will see at the end of the video. The V2 camera can be had pretty cheaply on eBay. The fact that this camera was the only one of the 6 that I definitely hit with a power washer, to fail is a testament to the design. The V2 is not outside rated. Wyze makes no claims of their ability to do so, but I did it anyway and to this day I still have a few V2s that are approaching 2 years 6 months as of this video and they still work perfectly.
Hope you enjoy the video and thank you for watching!

This is the rest of the part 1. Due to my over zealous hard drive cleaning a few weeks ago I lost/miss-placed a lot of videos. This is the rest of the Mitsubishi EX240 disassembly and cleaning prior to the DLP replacement in part 2. Part 1 covers most of the disassembly but this shows the Optic Assembly removal and points out some areas that should be cleaned. There are some Infocus and BenQ models that are the same inside as this one. Thanks for watching and I hope this helps you fix your projector.

Replacing the battery inside an older UPSI bought from Monoprice.com some years ago. I can't recall if this is the 2nd or third battery but I di have 3 of these UPS' around so it might have been another unit. These arent bad UPS and for the price I have been more than happy with its performance. Hopefully this helps you replace your battery if you have to. Way cheaper than a new UPS. Peace and chicken grease.

BenQ W6000 was sent in after a replacement lamp did not solve the strange shut downs. It was determined a cleaning would probably solve it.
The new replacement lamp worked out great. If you need one, go here: https://www.purelandsupply.com/benq-lcd-projector-lamp_w6000.html Use code YT50 for 5% off.

This Dell 1650 had a melted lamp connector. Seems to be a common problem on this chassis. Reminds me of the Optoma HD26,HD141, GT1080 series etc. That chassis is really configurable...
Turns out it's basically the same as the Optoma DH400, DU380, EH416, W416, WU416, X416. The Dell 1550 is basically the same as well.
I spliced the lamp connector into the harness and got it back up and running.
Lastly, I lost the last few minutes of the footage when I recorded the projector on the large screen. I decided to post this video anyway. Hope you find it useful.
Thanks for watching!
