Kitchin was a painter during the "Harlem Renaissance".
A native of Haiti, he was educated at Wolmer's Boys' School
and after worked as a marble cutter. One of his paintings may
be seen in the Church of the Redeemer at Kingston, B. W. I.
He was also employed in the B. M. T. shops in Brooklyn, and
designed many of their safety slogan placards.

William Henry Colin Milner
May 22, 1932 - February 11, 2018
With deep sadness, we announce that William (Bill) Milner passed away at his home in Vancouver, British Columbia, at age 85. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Bridget; children Colin (Julie), Jenifer (Neil) and Susan; mother-in-law Merle O'Hara; sister-in-law Joy Milner; and grandchildren, great-granddaughter, nephews, niece, relatives and friends. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, to William and Joyce (nee Orrett) Milner, he was predeceased by his younger brother Gordon and son Robert. A memorial service for Bill will be held Wednesday, March 7, at 1:45 p.m. at Haro Park Centre, 1233 Haro Street, Vancouver. Memorial donations to Union Gospel Mission or The War Amps would be greatly appreciated.
