Slip hysteresis plus energy storage equal vehicle advancing forward slow motion 5x
Slow motion clip showing how a vehicle can advance in the opposite direction of the moving paper road. Energy is stored mostly in the rubber belt and when front wheel (generator wheel) slips the stored energy powers the back wheels allowing the vehicle to move forward left to right in the video. Without any energy storage the vehicle could not move from left to right. Video is slowed down to 20% in order to better see the effect of energy storage and stick-slip hysteresis.
The video shows a wheel only cart advancing forward (opposite to paper road movement) because of wheel slip hysteresis and energy storage both in the case of rubber belt vehicle but also gear driven vehicle as the energy can still be stored in the body flexing observable in the video if you look at those steel pins on the side.
If there where no energy storage in combination with the slip hysteresis the vehicle could not have advanced forward.
Demonstrating that without the stick slip hysteresis on front wheel there is no movement opposite to moving paper direction.
So without energy storage and stick slip hysteresis effect no movement is possible opposing the paper movement direction.
