Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 4 - Part 32 8/26 Launch of the Radiant Wings
This is the boss rush that ends the middle section of the game. It is painfully annoying since we have characters we cannot adjust in ANY way, and the enemy relies on status bombing that you can't really account for since you can't change anyone's set ups. The best course of action is to throw your non-Cold Steel characters in the first boss fights of their gender (why?), so you have the guys you can work with for the important fights.
Depending on turn order for the first fight, if you are using the returning characters, it can be a game over or close to it before you can move. The important thing is to act before Lecter can so you can get some things out before the status bombs start, and if you start to do too well, the instant death attacks come out instead. The Zephyr guys can inflict Faint, so just focusing Lecter is not a viable strategy.
For the fight after that, we have to deal with the Steel Knights, and this is the fight that made me decide to just do everything over. This is more of a time sink fight since one of them can regenerate and go invulnerable while Sharon makes with the instant death moves (see a trend here?). Basically, you will knock out the other two before you have to play the stupid game with the final enemy.
For the third fight, Emma nukes all if you brought her. Pop her order and the enemy can barely hurt you while you can obliterate them. If you didn't bring her, Campanella will make with the status effects and it is just everything else you have seen recently.
For the final fight, I almost lost the AP here because Cedric wished to commit suicide by Vander, constantly trying to hit Kurt only to get cut down. Rutger is the tanky one here, so you can drop Georg fairly easily and then start working on him. I don't think the enemy has any reliable status infliction here, meaning I just had to take down the others before Cedric committed suicide. At worst, there may have been seal here, but the guys did have spells to fall back on to kill time while still being active.
Once all of that is over, the dead characters make their return and we are ready to find the missing beast.

The game is winding down as we tackle the final jungle area. Supposedly, there is an item at the old man's place that I missed, which is essentially another one of the old game carts. It might be necessary to get an achievement, I'm not sure. If you're not interested in the mini-games, just skip over it like I did and move through the story.
And a warning, be careful moving along walls. The glitch that I encountered here that forced me to do redo things was slipping into a wall after a battle and being unable to move anywhere. Sadly, like I suspected in the previous video, the end of the game needs some work, which is going to lead up to a stunning glitch in Part 20.

After the previous map, I was expecting something different with Andy, but that isn't really the case. Our objective is to take out the cannon in the corner, which is easy for a bomber. Before getting to that point though, make sure you grab the map if you want to field neotanks as Orange Star. Otherwise, we will be venturing back into new terrain sooner than you may expect.

And the antagonist of this story makes his entrance. Since Black Hole as a whole is underdeveloped in this game, he doesn't have any minions at his disposal (this changes in the sequel). As such, there are two encounters with Sturm, with this being the first.
Sturm's main feature is that he can ignore terrain costs, so even his wheeled units move as if they were infantry on all tiles (other than mountains and water). In terms of power, I believe he is stronger on average relative to everyone other than Max and Kanbei. His actual CO power is disabled on this map, so you will have to wait for the next one to see what he can do.
The strategy here is the same as most Max strategies for this game: you charge in and smash everything. Sturm cannot match Max blow for blow, so you will have the edge in any direct encounters. His only saving grace is that due to his mobility quirk, he can close a gap or run away if desired. So, make sure to run them all down and you can wrap this up with a rout and be onto the final battle.

This map is a little more difficult on account of the changed AI. Before, they were very easy to predict, but here they make some different moves. Luckily, Grit is still the best marksman around and we can shred anything we come across. If we can wipe out all of the enemy infantry, we can take our time in making our approach. You do have the option of ignoring the cannons entirely, or you could dedicate a unit to sniping them, your call. Just make sure you get to the HQ in time.

This one ended up being quite a bit easier than I anticipated, but that is moreso due to luck than strategy.
The basic unlock is to have at least 4 cards in the trash, then get KOed by redirecting with Star Knight Oath. It turns out, I am able to use Spite's self damage from the Safe House to instantly do this one. From there, you can either continue playing, abort, or rewind and beat him down properly.
As for Star Knight, she strikes me as a basic version of Captain Cosmic. Instead of giving constructs that are easily destroyed to others, she keeps things for herself, but they are more durable. As a result, she can deal some more damage, but the secret to her comes into play when mixed with other Sentinels from the original game. You have complete control over what is on the bottom of your deck, so you can abuse SS Tachyon and some other heroes, extremely well to get whatever you need, provided it was in your trash. Seeing as you can discard to draw with Star Knight, she has a lot of potential for shenanigans.
The only downside though is that there are no cards like Captain Cosmic's that destroy his constructs to turn them into nukes, making her damage as much lackluster as the rest of the Prime cast.
