First live fire attempt of the Block 19v3, a wooden Glock 19 frame routed out on a MPCNC router. Over 100 rounds through it before it broke. Minor adjustments and it is now up and running again. I took the FMDA DD19.2 model, modified it to fit a gen 4 slide, cut it in half, added holes for aligning 1/8" pegs around the outer perimeter, and then routed each half out of 3/4" oak board. Thanks to Ivan for making the original model and causing commercially produced rails to become available online.
The most powerful nerf mod.
Testing that air piston spring is strong enough to detonate a primer. Disregard the fact that the barrel/insert move, nothing is solidly held in place. Need to add steel breech plate before it will be able to fire a live round (more than once). Then onto adding more barrels.

1:15 for shot
First live fire test of the Salvo 712, a 7 barreled single shot 12 gauge shotgun/volleygun made out of plumbing pipe and scrap metal. I got the shotgun to a shoulder-fireable state and wanted to confirm that it wouldn't explode before sinking any additional time into it.
The gun weighs in at ~40lb. While the total recoil impulse is extreme, the weight and running shoe recoil pad reduce peak force enough that it isn't at all painful to shoot. It was enough knock my glasses and headphones completely off my face. Compared to a 3lb slambang shotgun, it is pleasant to shoot.

Shooting the lego lower (name subject to change), an AR15 lower receiver made primarily of lego and, as far as I'm aware, the world's first lego firearm. It was completed using only hand tools and no measurement implements. It's had roughly 400 rounds through it with no signs of failure so far.

Only 2 of 7 barrels actually detonated. The firing pin block was messed up and .50 primers are a bit harder than 12 gauge.

There is now a fully functional version - https://youtu.be/tTHFjao1nRo
Second live fire test of the Block 19. I'm calling it a success. It functions fine when the magazine is held at exactly the perfect position, so I expect that it will start functioning consistently after the magazine catch is added.
Since the last test, I've added the second pin to hold the rear of the locking block in place and addressed problems with trigger reset. The trigger had previously been failing to reset because the striker sear was sitting a hair too low relative to the rear rail. I was able to remedy this by applying a few layers of masking tape to the underside of the trigger mechanism housing. This isn't an actual fix, so much as a kludge to keep from scrapping the current frame.
TODO magazine catch
TODO slide lock (so that the slide stops flying off the frame)

Long-winded overview, disassembly, and conclusions of the lego lower (name subject to change), an AR15 lower receiver made primarily of lego and, as far as I'm aware, the world's first lego firearm. It was completed using only hand tools and no measurement implements. It's had roughly 400 rounds through it with no signs of failure so far.
I'm calling this project complete for now and don't intend to revisit the concept in the near future. The next project is going to involve some woodworking.
Corrections:
* pretend that the whole video was better composed
* the PA AG didn't ban 80 percent lowers, but instructed the state police to treat them as firearms
* every time I said 3/32, I meant 5/32
