This is part 2 of the how to draw series. Here I explain the color choice, and rational behind this exploration of a softer side to our character.

Alright,
The secret to drawing everything is to simplify it into easier to draw shapes before adding detail.
I find that simplifying what you see is the easiest type of construction for drawing.
This advice is applicable to digital, and traditional mediums of art. (I don't paint though so I wouldn't know about that.)
Today we have a video on hands.
there is some breath in the video I tried to cut most of it out.
Someday I will learn to stop eating my mic.
Anyways i'll make an even better hands tutorial after I improve my technique.
That one will knock your socks off. So keep tuned.
Alright this a video with no editing.
Please excuse the throat clearing, and the cat's meows. I got a new microphone.
Spoiler: The Harshest Critic should always be the artist themselves.
The artist needs to be able to notice their shortcomings in order to be able to improve. The artist should also experiment. The artist should play with different ideas, different ways of working. The pursuit to improve should never stop.

Today is an example of many different ways to make lines.
There are a myriad of ways to make lines, but the most important rule in making line art, or lining something is to keep it consistent.
This is not to say that the lines should be all the same size, but rather that the lines should fit together visually.
If the lines are too different in style then it would clash and create a jarring contrast in the piece.
If you were to use different line styles I would suggest using them in a psychedelic, or shocking scene, and there that contrast in lines would serve a good purpose.
This is the second initial design concept for a creature in a hypothetical Hack & Slash game.
