“As a lotus flower is born in water, grows in water and rises out of water to stand above it unsoiled, so I, born in the world, raised in the world having overcome the world, live unsoiled by the world.”
― Gautama Buddha - Seriously? this sucks!
The holy path of a spiritual being is to accept the water (wisdom) from the reality (Sky & Earth & Stars) and mix or turn it into soil (teachings, new ways, technology..etc) for living. This idea is symbolized in White mountain flower aka Edelweiss = The flower of eternal love. White mountains give their pure water (love) always.

This Hamba (head) lama was beaten, and refused to join annual religious festival Niislel Huree (capitol) Grand Tsam (religious mask dance). He is bullied because of opinion. I feel he is weak :) if he was a strong spirit he should have his own church and Tsam festival :P As for me I usually don`t care about Grand Tsam :P

Metal production - war machine was stopped under Manchu rule and introduction of Buddhism in Mongolia. Manchu policy was using Tibetian Buddhism cut down the men power - with tax policy. If you are a peace loving lama there will be no tax for you. Lamas have no right to have a family (kids) but have right to own any amount of property. When he dies his wealth must go to government.

Tea is Tsai in Mongolian language. It is Chinese word.
There is not much tea culture in Mongolia. Tea gets important when someone is died. Funeral tea party is called Tsail-lag.(or Tsail-laga) means almost like Free-Tea. So tea is the saddest drink. Alcohol during funeral -this is not respectful or serious. Alcohol is happy drink.
Many ppl are not invited to actual tea party. Very close family members are invited.
Others (Neighbors) just receive knock on the door and gift bag with tea, sweets, candles and matches. This funeral gift is called Gar Tsai-l-gah yum = tea hand out things -something like that. So tea plays important part in funeral events. Recently Coffee is used - depends on family.
I did not went to any of those funerals.
By the way Mongolia used to have Tea Road from China to Russia.
