I got an old HP 403B AC Voltmeter off eBay for cheap and in this video we will fix it. It is staple of the industry from the seventies and the first solid state AC Voltmeter that HP made. This one would not read any voltages. It runs on batteries primarily but can run OK on AC too. This is a good lesson on transistors and how to tell if they are bad by taking voltage readings.

A viewer asked me to fix this for him. Somebody tried to fix it before me but didn't know the resistor color code I guess. Several resistors the wrong value and other bad parts. This is also a good video on why you should check parts before you install the. Don't assume they are good just because they are new.

My first large equipment donation! This is a nice piece of gear that works just great with what I do at the bench. I just love this thing. This is a quick video showing a few of the tests it will make. Also we will check out how much distortion the UR6QW 8 Band Equalizer/Compressor introduces to a transmitted signal.

Here is another older piece of radio station equipment I had to fix at work. Simple repair but it shows logic in troubleshooting. Also a little show and tell on how an AM Modulation Monitor works (or at least how they used to work in the 70s).

I got an Orban Optimod 8200 in for repair. These were the absolute bomb when they came out in 1991 and they still hold their own today for radio station processing. This one had no output composite but the rest of it worked fine. Parts were hard to find but worth it.
