No matter where we are in the world, Silicon Valley plays a big role in most of our lives. Much of the technology that we have come to rely on for daily use is either designed in, managed from, or otherwise largely affected by the engineers, developers, programmers and executives who live in the Bay Area. Over the years --- and especially within the last two or three --- Silicon Valley has been increasingly in the spotlight for its politics, particularly how the political agendas of its influencers and executives affect the rest of us.
In this episode, we are joined by Silicon Valley insider and LCI advisory board member Aaron Ginn. Aaron helps us sort fact from fiction in how we think about the politics of Silicon Valley, and to understand what it all means for freedom of speech and other key principles of liberty. We also discuss futurism in a Christian context, and how we should look at technology as a tool given to us by God in order to love our neighbors and advance the Lord's kingdom.

Hi, I'm Doc Dixon. I'm a magician, comedy magician, probably most known in the libertarian universe. I sawed Tom Woods in half a few years ago and have been on several libertarian podcasts. More than all those other things, I'm a Christian. I'm a big believer in the old computer thing: you know, garbage in, garbage out. So I want to put good stuff in my head, good stuff out to get good stuff out. The buffet that is the LCI podcast and website are just a great source of that. It's always interesting. It's always well done. And if I find myself maybe not agreeing with every little thing, I'm agreeing with a lot of it. And the things I don't agree with are worth my attention and challenge. And it's just a great resource to have, even though this is kind of the overall thing of LCI. But the specific thing is when you specifically address the minutiae of the intersection between our faith and libertarianism and that it isn't this, but it's more that, and that's welcome. And I've always felt that way from moment one as I became deeper in my libertarian thought, deeper in my Christian walk. But LCI has helped me express that in better detail, and I'm grateful for that. LCI is an important part of the liberty movement because faith is an important part of the lives of thousands and millions of people. And people that take their faith seriously, who discover libertarianism want to make sure it is, that an LCI is uniquely equipped to address that intersection. I think that's even the motto, what the intersection of faith? And, like, it's right there on the label. It makes LCI incredibly important.
