Hisense LCD2003EU Stuck in Stand By This type of fault starts to appear at the beginning of October When the temperature is low What causes this, is normally capacitors, on the primary side of the power supply, in the start up circuit. By using the hair dryer, I was able to increase the temperature of the low value capacitor which was reading around 15uF The value of this capacitor should be 22uF By the unsoldering process, this heats up the capacitor, and if I did not cool it down, it would not have being a correct reading I then put the psu pcb into a freezer for about 15 min. to cool the psu.
