Easthaven Eschatology Discussion Part 1, held at the Easthaven Church of Christ in Memphis, TN, Wednesday, December 26, 2018.
Alvin Lloyd and Cameron Freeman from the Easthaven congregation, met with Elvin Israel Israel, a Hebrew Israelite and William Bell, minister of the Raines Road church of Christ to discuss the end times.
This was a very cordial meeting and it demonstrated that brethren could sit down across the table in a civil atmosphere and have an open honest discussion about the word of God. This also proves that those who are opposed to this type of meeting are lying that these meetings are disruptive and do harm. Everyone left the meeting in good spirits with cordial handshakes, looking forward to the next meeting.
We believe that it was only after their elders were informed about the meeting that same night, these brothers called us back after a couple of hours with a total different attitude claiming they did not want to study any further.
During the meeting they said these matters were very important, but after they called back they said they were not important enough to discuss. Yet this same church wrote a disfellowship letter against William Bell over 36 years ago, and have never defended the charges made in that letter.
We can only hope that they will be open to having a dialogue based on the Scriptures after seeing that these brethren did not have major disagreements with what was being said and that they were learning throughout the entire e

Micha"EL Edwards has attempted to refute covenant eschatology by applying Matthew 24:2 to the time of the Maccabees. He has mixed two different historical events into one prophetic event which abounds with contradictions.
In this video we demonstrate the truth of the Preterist paradigm and show that if Mr. Edwards is consistent with his own teachings he would be and in fact is a full Preterist. The Maccabees argument makes him a "hyper-preterist" since he finds fulfillment in 168-164 B.C. in the time of Judas Maccabeus.
He makes many additional blunders by saying that the gospel required a satellite to be installed in Papua New Guinea, and thus Dish Network and Direct TV are necessary before the gospel could be carried to the world by the Apostles.
Of course, we showed the truth based on the Scriptures that the gospel was in fact preached to all the cosmos, land, inhabited earth, nations and creation in the first century generation before the temple fell.

Understanding the covenantal background and temple typology framework of the resurrection in 2 Corinthians 5. Paul presents life with Christ through transition from the earthly to the heavenly man, from the aeon of Moses to Christ. It is his most detailed explanation and development of the resurrection themes introduced in 1 Corinthians 15. It is a though the Apostle merely introduces the themes in the first epistle that he develops further in the second.
In these lessons Paul develops the earthly man as the Old Covenant temple. The heavenly man is the new covenant temple or house not made with hands. Drawing on texts from Genesis 2-3, Ezekiel 16 and 37, the covenant man, infused with the Holy Spirit breathes life into the New Covenant community.
