When introduced to the idea, you either find - as most people do - that your values and aspirations already align with the issues and concerns addressed by Unism, or you fight that realization with bitterness and scorn. No worries - our everyday lives are so dehumanizing, alienating, and unfulfilling, it's a wonder that any of us are still sticking around to try to find a solution. As Weinstein exemplifies, the ideas of Unism are not entirely unheard of; nor are they meant to appear wholly unique. In fact, you may have independently come to many of the same conclusions that we have. Our goal was not to contrive untried, blue-sky doctrines for the sake of notoriety, but to fall back on the wealth of reason and knowledge throughout our collective human history. By sifting through the eons, we have aimed to establish, synthesize, and innovate a culmination of the best existing political, philosophical, & metaphysical wisdoms. We then adopt those best practices, as adapted to the unique challenges of our modern, crisis-laden high-tech landscape - all in the service of articulating & organizing around a Change and an Awakening that is already well underway. By now, it should be very, very clear that the 18th & 19th Century definitions of identity, property, and freedom (and the political doctrines and parties that involve them) are no longer useful to us in our age of identity theft, intellectual properties, and constant state surveillance.  It's up to us to shape a new civic destiny that both eclipses the Past that dares hold us hostage, in order to usurp a Future that has all but been stolen from us entirely. Neither Socialism, Libertarianism, Liberalism, or Conservatism are sufficient to save us.
