"Great Escape"
Inside these prison walls below the high watchtowers
we're all pacing the yard for hours and hours
on a full life sentence without parole
Jailed for revealing the thieves who stole your gold

We could sneak out the back door with a skeleton key
or go marching out the front gate with stole identity
We could climb out a window but the glass is caged
So We're taking the time and planning the great escape

Timing is the key when a moment fits the hole
come and go unnoticed by wardens while they switch patrol
scrape out the stone floor with the handle of a spoon
dig down under no mans land and wait for the moon

We were transferred to "H", from old cell block "G"
wasted time and loss of hope "will we ever break free?"
Trapped Behind bars, confined, just doing time
a lonely prisoner trapped inside your mind.

I strolled out one morning by broad daylight
kept on walking till the jail was out of sight
A stranger to the free-way, nowhere left to hide
Hitch another ride back to jail to the greatest friends inside
