Happy Ho-Ho-Holidays!
We hope the year found you out-and-about, experiencing new adventures! Stretching out in our empty nest, we’ve realized that life stays busy and laundry is forever.
Enjoying her second year at chilly NAU, Asher adores her new roommates and revels in having her own bathroom. She recently lost her mind and bought a hamster. “Shimmy” isn’t a puppy though, so she was forgiven.
Having graduated from high school last May, Gundry is half way through his (gap) year music program at the Icon Collective in Los Angeles. Out of the nest, he’s learning to use spices, to clean other’s messes with only low grade harrumphing, and that Phoenix has zero traffic concerns.
Skylar Pirky is debuting in this year’s card-show. Gundry roped her into our chaos last December. Sky is uniquely suited to hold her own amongst our feisty humor, go-go-go travel expectations, and quirky culinary questing. Although packaged as “fun sized,” her personality is anything but small. We adore her.
Jason and I continue to do what keeps us strong, bruised, and happy… running and biking rocky trails. My power tool play has been joined by the challenges of learning cello, gearing up to take shifts with the Red Cross’s Disaster Action Team, and the unfamiliarity of controlling the TV remote. Jason is bolstering his meditation practice with not one or two, but THREE hot yoga classes a week. I suspect his motivation is to keep my laundry skills honed.
Linked below is our holiday card-show. And, as usual, more of the year’s images than you would ever want to peruse are available on our adventure-site. Be well and know we are wishing you an out-and-about New Year!
