Welcome to Digging the Game. In this series we play topical computer games as archaeologists. Archaeological gaming is a fascinating and fun form of archaeology we can all get involved in!
Today we dive back in to 'ArchaeologyX' an archaeology-sim available on STEAM. Today I give this disappointing game another crack at the whip! Can it be as good as I want it to be?
Today, we sit down and talk (or rather, 'torc') with Dr Tess Machling, an archaeologist who comes with a glowing series of adjectives from fellow archaeologists!
Tess Machling is an independent archaeological researcher based in St Albans. She is also membership secretary of The Prehistoric Society. Tess has been researching Iron Age torcs with Roland Williamson since 2015.

Welcome to Watching Brief. A monthly show available via podcast and as topical segments via YouTube. As the name implies, each month my co-host Andy Brockman of the Pipeline (Where history is tomorrow's news) and I cast an eye over news stories, topical media and entertainment and discuss and debate what we find.
