Calls on all sorts of topics from folks hiding in their bunkers, including a call on the Trinity and how to encourage a church to take it more seriously, witnessing to a Mormon missionary who is headed home, Hebrews 7:25, and covenant theology. There was more, but Rich and I are too old to remember to jot down the topics! We intend to be back again tomorrow with another program! In light of all of the hoopla about kids marching around wishing the planet would freeze up, we talked a bit about how this new religion is just a manifestation of the Culture of Death. Then I dove deep into a response to Chris Thomas on Luke 23:34 and then transitioned into a response to Taylor DeSoto and his blog article setting up one of the most flammable straw men we have seen in quite some time. 90 minutes! Started off the DL today with a review of some important thoughts from John 4, then looked a bit at the continued advance of totalitarianism. But spent most of our time looking at today’s Jihad Watch article re-treading the Yasir Qadhi story. Robert Spencer shows us once again the difference between approaching Islam from a worldly perspective or from the biblical perspective. Visit the store at https://doctrineandlife.co/

John continues his review with the Preservation of the Saints. We had some serious problems with the original recording so John came in for a redo and here it is.

Started off with more on the continuing developments with Francis, Fernandez, and the Roman Church, moving sort of seamlessly into @ReformedtoRome's attempt to use Acts 15 as a defeater of sola scriptura. Then we looked at some recent @Soteriology101 statements on the idea of being made "better" so as to believe in Calvinism.

The rush of insane “believe this mass delusion or we will silence you!” stuff going on in our world caused me to reflect on the question, “are ancient writings really able to equip us to deal with modern challenges?” You will have to listen to discover the answer!
Third DL of the week! We covered a lot of ground from the Senate and marriage to the assertion that if you are a biblicist you will not be able to fight the current cultural fights. Next Monday we will have some special guests in studio.

Our good friend and brother Dr. Jason Lisle of the Biblical Science Institute joined us for the first hour to talk all things science and the faith, and in the last half hour we talked mainly about Pope Francis' comments about the earth being upset with us. Also a small amount of discussion regarding Qumran right at the end. Visit the store at https://doctrineandlife.co/

Today’s guest host John Samson was, for quite some time, a pastor in the “word of faith” movement. On today’s show, John shares something of an insider’s guide, as well as the powerful biblical truths God used to alert him to the gross deception. Visit the store at https://doctrineandlife.co/

I was literally on my way to the office to do a remote DL in the old studio, something we have done four or five times now, when I texted Rich and asked, “I know this is crazy but…any way we could use the big studio and the Flip board remotely?” And we made it work! Kudos to Rich! Now if we could just learn to do the DL without the ugly old dumb Scottish guy! So anyway, the topic! Yes, we dove into Exodus 3:14 and did some old-fashioned inter-textual study today at the start, and then moved into a discussion of the simplicity controversy, finishing with playing a segment from a Sinclair Ferguson sermon from (I believe) 2015. If you wish to end 2021 with some deep consideration of important issues, we hope this blesses you! See you in 2022!
