Trial by showmance! Body language expert says Johnny Depp and lawyer Camille Vasquez's 'intense flirting' is a ploy to 'destroy' Amber Heard's case by painting him as a 'romantic hero' (while his attorney gets to 'relish' her five minutes of fame)
Body language expert Judi James analyzed the non-verbal relationship between Depp, 58, and his lawyer Vasquez, 37, in the courtroom during his $100 million defamation case against ex-wife Heard, 36
James said that Vasquez's 'flirtatious' behavior is likely a very conscious tactic to try and boost her client's case, explaining that the romantic gestures between the two are helping Depp to appear more likeable
Fans started to wonder if romantic feelings had developed between Depp and Vasquez recently, after they noticed some flirty interactions between them - like whispering in each other's ears and giggling together
She drew comparisons between their display and the romance between characters in a Mills & Boone novel, saying: 'If a picture paints a thousand words these "words" look straight out of the pages of Mills & Boone'
However, James explained that the amorous moments between them are most likely not due to a budding romance, but instead, are all part of a plan to make Depp seem like a 'romantic hero'
The expert explained that linking Depp to a 'fresh, smart, fragrant, and confident-looking woman' would 'destroy' Heard's recount of their toxic relationship
She said Depp shows off 'eye contact, charm, and protective concern with Vasquez,' while treating Heard 'like a modern day Medusa who might turn him to stone if he once looks in her direction'
