Various System Monitoring Applications on Linux to Monitor Hardware Sensors... My Journey to Conky
This video is aimed at Linux users and runs through a few options I looked at for hardware sensor monitoring from terminal based ones, the built-in system monitor application and ending up with Conky. It is not an exhaustive list and as I explain, I was looking for something specifically to monitor temp of CPU and GPU, as well as their fans speeds and the two chassis fans.

Your needs may be different but you'll also appreciate Conky can be adapted to do just about anything!
