The planet of Tatooine now belongs to Boba Fett.
How long that lasts may depend on who stays dead and who comes back to life after the battle that took place in the season finale of “The Book of Boba Fett” that began streaming Wednesday on Disney Plus.
The episode, titled “In the Name of Honor,” was directed by Robert Rodriguez — who helped reintroduce the character to the Star Wars streaming universe in the second season of “The Mandalorian” in 2020 — and ended with a post-credits scene that confirms help could be on the way for the most famous bounty hunter in the galaxy.
The scene shows Freetown marshal Cobb Vanth (Timothy Olyphant) healing in the rejuvenate waters of a bacta tank. Vanth was thought to be dead throughout the finale after falling in a shootout with Cad Bane, another bounty hunter, who made a spectacular and intense live-action debut in the penultimate episode. Bane hit Vanth with a shoulder shot, so his potential comeback shouldn’t be too shocking. While inside the bacta tank, Vanth is being attended by the same surgeon who helped Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) save the life of his partner, Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen), which means the marshal should have some new cybernetics if his comeback pans out.
The man who put Vanth in the bacta tank may not have been as lucky. To be clear, no one looked or sounded cooler than Cad Bane in this series (he was once again voiced by Corey Burton). After verbal mind games gave him the emotional upper hand over Boba Fett in a western-style standoff in the finale, Fett was able to take Bane down and seemingly kill him in what could be the most wasteful death of a fantastic villain since Darth Maul back in 1999′s “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.”
But deaths don’t always stick in Star Wars. Darth Maul came back to life in “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” the animated series where Bane made his debut. There’s no better candidate to resurrect to be a top-notch rival for Boba Fett than the blue-skinned, red-eyed cowboy. Perhaps the Jawas found Bane and plugged him into something to keep him in the land of the living. Time, and perhaps another season of “The Book of Boba Fett,” will tell. And don’t forget, before his return on “The Mandalorian,” Fett was thought dead for decades to the Star Wars fandom. Anything is possible.
But is this the way a Boba Fett series should be handled? Sharing so much of the limelight with other prominent Star Wars characters? Since Star Wars arrived on Disney Plus, there’s been nothing but high praise for story architects Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, but “The Book of Boba Fett” was met with some discontent fans who thought the titular c

Gina Carano SUES Disney for Star Wars Firing | The Internet Responds
Gina Carano is suing the Walt Disney Company and Lucasfilm for wrongful termination. The Star Wars actress, who played Cara Dune in The Mandalorian, made some tweets that upset some and was eventually cancelled, or fired, by Disney and Lucasfilm. After her contract not being renewed, Disney made a public statement against Carano and her comments.
Carano, with the help of Elon Musk, is claiming that she was wrongfully terminated, and she points out that other Star Wars actors have spoken out politically and have suffered no consequence, thus citing the double standard against Carano due to her conservative point-of-view.
The internet has responded to Gina Carano. Many are behind her and are certainly in her corner. Gina Carano is a champion for a great percentage of the fandom, as she fights for the right to voice her opinion and end wokeness.

Is the Obi-Wan Kenobi Star Wars Series Made for Children? #starwars
After a short break from live-action storytelling, Disney and Lucasfilm will take a blast to the past with the highly-anticipated May release of Obi-Wan Kenobi. This will be Ewan McGregor's first appearance as the grizzled Jedi since 2005's Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, with his return bridging the gap between that prequel film and A New Hope.
Lucasfilm has utilized Disney+ to incredible results over the last couple of years, with Emmy-winning efforts on The Mandalorian and a widely-watched spin-off series in The Book of Boba Fett. Now, Obi-Wan Kenobi looks to take an even deeper trip down memory lane as it adds to Obi-Wan's journey while also mixing in new layers to the mythology that began 45 years ago.
With all 11 big-screen Star Wars outings having been rated PG or PG-13, which has continued into the Disney+ spin-offs as they earned ratings of TV-14 for The Mandalorian and TV-12 for The Book of Boba Fett. Now, ahead of Ewan McGregor's return to the galaxy far, far away, his show's rating has fans in a state of surprise.
Disney+ U.K. has listed the Obi-Wan Kenobi series with a TV age rating of 9+, which is notably lower than the live-action Star Wars Disney+ series that have come before it.
For reference, The Mandalorian was rated 14+ while The Book of Boba Fett was rated 12+. Obi-Wan Kenobi's rating is the same as Star Wars: Visions, although it's higher than both animated series in The Clone Wars and The Bad Batch (6+).
Disney fans have seen lower ratings than expected from recent releases across the company's landscape, most recently coming from Marvel Studios' upcoming Disney+ series Ms. Marvel. However, this certainly comes as more of a shock for Star Wars fans considering how much of McGregor's Obi-Wan has already come through on the big screen.
A 9+ rating would seemingly indicate that everything in Obi-Wan Kenobi is more than appropriate for any viewers over the age of nine years old, meaning there may not be as much violence or language as there is in other Star Wars properties. However, while this rating may seem low, there's a precedent set that indicates it could change as the season moves forward.
Marvel Studios' WandaVision saw its rating change from TV-12 to TV-14 after its first couple of episodes, which is what fans are hoping happens for Obi-Wan Kenobi. However, it turns out, this low rating only makes the series that much more intriguing to watch as McGregor brings the story back a few decades in time.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is set to begin streaming on Disney+ on May 27
