This beer comes in at 7.4% ABV with 40 IBUs. It poured a cloudy deep gold/caramel color with a fair amount of carbonation and nice thick white frothy head. The nose was light malt, with some banana and clove. This was medium/full bodied with sweet malt leading the way, followed by banana, some clove spiciness. Beer Review 495: Jungle Juice Craft Hard Seltzer, Stone Bridge Brewing, Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Purchased: via Anderson Brewery: https://www.stonebridge.beer/ Anderson was kind enough to acquire this Craft Hard Seltzer while on a visit to the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This Jungle Juice inspired seltzer comes in at 5% ABV and 130 calories (nutritional info was listed on the side). This poured a pinkish color and the fruit punch smell was immediately noticeable. There was no real head to speak of (not that we expected one) and there was a fair amount of carbonation with some noticeable, large bubbles. As to the taste, it tasted like a nice fruit punch soda. There was no alcohol presence that we noticed, and it was not as sweet as I had expected given the nose. All in all, there was nothing off putting about this, although it is probably a little too "soda-like" for either of us to drink multiples. Beer Review 399: Pumpkin Ale, R. Shea Brewing, Akron, Ohio. Purchased: BG Beverage Center, Bowling Green, Ohio. Brewery: https://www.rsheabrewing.com I picked up a single 16 ounce can of this pumpkin ale while in Bowling Green this past weekend. This beer is described as, "Just an easy drinking pumpkin ale. Moderately spice." It comes in at 5.25% ABV with 25 IBUs. It poured a clear, pale amber color with moderate carbonation and a solid, 1-finger tanish head. The nose was light pumpkin pie spice (ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove). The taste was similar, with cinnamon leading the way and the other flavors blending in nicely. There was a natural pumpkin puree taste, but unlike some other pumpkin beers I have had, it was not overpowering. Beer Review 491: Astronaut Food - Blueberry, Urban Artifact, Cincinnati, Ohio. Purchased: via Jay (https://www.youtube.com/c/ThisGuysThoughts Brewery: https://www.artifactbeer.com/ This beer was sent to me by Jay from This Guys Thoughts and I was thrilled to be able to give it a try. This beer was made with 1,000 pounds of freeze-dried blueberries and comes in at a whopping 15% ABV. It was sold in 4 packs of 8 ounce beers for about $30. This poured a deep purple color and I could not see through the glass, although I did see some stray bubbles popping up on the top. There was no real head to speak of the nose was predominantly blueberry and not much else. This was medium bodied and the first thing I picked up was the tartness. You also could also taste natural blueberry and a sweetness which worked nice against the tartness. This definitely had the look of a glass of wine, and there was definitely a wine vide to this. While this was 15% ABV, I don't think the ABV was off-putting or that noticeable. You can tell this isn't 5%, but I would never have guessed 15% if tasting blind. All in all, this was an interesting beer and I was thrilled to be able to try.
