Our friend Pete was kind enough to send me this 2015 Shock Top Spiced Banana Wheat beer as he knows the Yeti and I like trying old beers for our WTF Wednesday videos. This one comes in at 5.5% ABV and poured an amber color with no visible head, despite my attempt to give it a bit of a hard pour. The nose was citrusy banana bread, with a bit of an alcohol smell. This was medium/light bodied and you goy citrus (lemon), banana, clove and some other spice (allspice maybe). While nowhere as bad as we were expecting, the citrusy lemon taste just throws the whole thing off. The fact that this is 8 years old, makes it even harder to rate. As I am a banana bread fan, I suspect I may have liked this if it was fresh, and if the citrus taste was not so pronounced. As it is impossible to tell what it originally tasted like I gave it a meh. Not terrible, especially considering the age, but not particularly good either.
