Neutrik Dante NA2-IO-DPRO & DLINE Network Audio Interface First Look
In this video we're taking a first look at the Neutrik NA2-IO-DPRO & NA2-IO-DLINE interfaces, along with the NPS-30w PoE power supply. Neutrik was nice enough to send these units over for us to have a look at, along with a number of their rigging and mounting options. The DPRO is the flagship model in their Dante Interface lineup. It features primary and secondary Dante ports, two high-quality microphone pre-amps, the ability to do AES as well as analog, along with some nifty control software and intelligent input configurations.
More on this one in an upcoming review after I've had a chance to use them more, leave any questions or comments down below if you've got them! More info at https://www.dcsoundop.com/neutrikna2

Something different today, taking apart the Sound Bullet by Sonnect Audio & appreciating how well it is designed and built. This is how you design for sustainability. Bravo to the team at Sonnect for taking so much care in making their products repairable and built to an incredible standard, without compromising quality or sending the price sky high.
Check out video #169 where we introduce the Sound Bullet - https://youtu.be/Cr7ebO-EYqk
Notes from Sonnect on assembly:
https://sonnectaudio.com/
The delicate moments are:
1. Inserting the smaller PCB: if forced, the buttons could come off the soldering pads
2. Make sure you put the washers between the XLR and the chassis and the tiny tiny black screw washers - they are there so that you don’t get an error while continuity test a “pin-1 to chassis” XLR cable

This Sound Bullet was sent by Sonnect to use in videos on this channel. Beyond the loaner gear, this is not a paid video & DcSoundOp does not make any money from the sales of Sonnect products at the time of filming.

Like it or not, networking is here to stay in professional audio & production. While it might have you tearing your hair out at the moment, it really is making a massive difference in how we deal with transporting & managing data on a job site. While we grew up hunting down signal flow problems with a mini-mag light as our preferred analysis tool, these days it’s tools like Dante Controller, Wireshark, Wireless Workbench & a solid ethernet dongle for your laptop that get you out of most jams.
Enter John Huntington, educator, author, practitioner, storm chaser, photographer & all around nice gut to spend a Sunday chatting with.
As networked audio has come into its own in the past few years, the knowledge base he has amassed in building reliable show networks and control systems is an excellent foundation to build from and a must have reference on everyone’s shelf in my opinion.

In this Episode we hang out with SoundTools founder Dave Rat for an inside look at what they have been up to since we talked at last year's show. It is always fun spending time with the SoundTools crew and this year at The 2020 NAMM show was no different. Anyone who made it out to the show knows how much of an attraction their booth is each day from show open to close. I can't thank the whole crew enough for coming in early and helping me shoot this video. The energy and enthusiasm for their work and how much of that goes into each product sent out the door is genuine and impressive for a company of any size.
