The battle for the future is here. Each and every one of us has a role to play, from the CEO to the teacher, the economist to the poet, the child to the elder. Every single one of us. This is not the time to give in to fatalism. It is the time to really begin doing the work. Fighting for the future. Fighting the good fight. Getting in good trouble. Creating the kind of world we are proud to hand to our children and grandchildren. That is the challenge before us. Fatalism is a kind of cowardice and weakness. Nihilism, a worse one still. It’s true that nobody is coming to save us, and it’s true that we will not win the fight in some kind of unalloyed way. That is all the more reason to fight, my friend. Nothing has ever been worthier than this fight. Yes, nothing. No father in the sky, no angels in heaven, no book, no idea, theorem, or belief. Nothing in human history has been worthier than the fight before us now, which is the one for a world that is full of a little more goodness, grace, truth, beauty, wonder. A little more full of life. That is what this thing called “civilization” really is, and always has been. "We need to vaccinate the world. NEED to. Not “should,” we must!"
So, what made the idiots like this? How do you degrade a human being to the point they are willing to lose their life? Well, you take everything away from them. Security. Stability. A future. Relationships, trust, a good job, a career that goes somewhere. A town to be proud of, a place to call home, even. You replace it all with poverty and Rust Belt devastation. And then you tell them that their woes are the fault of those people, who are really subhumans. The subhumans are the reason that they, the idiots, who are actually superhuman, are oppressed. #Tweetthis ~Music by White Bat Audio
We are on the cusp of something that is unthinkable. “Climate change” serves to neatly hide really beginning to understand all this. This is about us. Not just abstract things like “temperature” anymore. It is about life and death. It is about how civilizations collapse. #Tweetthis
America’s Headed Towards Fascism Without Much of a Fight. So Who In the hell Needs a War? Right? But the truth is that civil war is a continuum. It goes from small-scale civil conflict, on the one end, to outright large-scale “warfighting” — as the American military calls it — on the other.
And you don’t need need to go all the way down that continuum — to large-scale warfighting — to win a civil war.
In fact, if you win a civil war without large-scale warfighting — battlefields and tanks and so forth — then so much the better.
That is exactly where America is now. ~All music in this video By "WHITE BAT AUDIO"~
History, my friends, is just this. People are mostly alright with political forms which order society by blood and faith — which are really just a mask for violence. "Noble" just meant you won some land for the king — and it turned into "my blood is better than yours." But people lived this way, and they lived this way for most of history. This means that on some level, this is history's means. "The rise of the age of." #Tweetthis
This isn’t inflation. It’s Greedflation. This sudden, heart-stopping rise in prices is in large part an effect of corporations jacking up prices. Why? Because they can. They used the pandemic as an excuse to raise prices disproportionately. #Tweetthis #Greedflation
You should know this cycle of ignorance and folly by now. It’s how we got here — and it’s not going away. No, Omicron isn’t Covid “evolving to become less severe.” No, pandemics don’t magically disappear. They just roll on. Or do you think that hepatitis and HIV and smallpox and polio ever “evolved to become less severe”? They just became…endemic. But endemic in Covid’s case means, currently, that we all get Omicron every two to three months or so — because booster efficacy wanes, while you can be reinfected — until a new variant, which is a mutation of Omicron, emerges, and bang, we’re back to square one.
One of the things I’m struck by as I look at the world these days is just how badly we need to fix it. The strange thing about saying that is that it’s a statement that will either strike you as contentious, or obvious — such are these times we live in. The truth is that beyond our opinions, the facts matter. And the fact is that we live in an age of a choice of ruin. Climate change. Inequality. Fascism. Extremism. Mass extinction. Countries fracturing. Societies breaking down. None of these things are up for debate. NONE! #Tweetthis
Anything could go wrong, at any time. Maybe war will break out today. Maybe another variant will explode — a really bad one. Perhaps there will be some kind of attack on the capital city, by fanatics and extremists. Maybe a new Big Lie will begin to be told, that radicalizes the extremists further. Anything could happen. Anything could go wrong. Boom. Just like that. That is not normal. It is a totally, totally different world now. And with it, comes a new feeling. Dread. What is it called when you feel like anything could happen — just like that? A new variant, war, collapse, fanaticism, fascism, lies, terror, violence, hate? Yes, it's called Dread. #Tweetthis ~ music by White Bat Audio
Love isn’t knowledge. Knowledge is the end of love. Love begins where you end. There is nothing separating us now. We are one. That is all love is, right? #Tweetthis
