Florence Pugh was attached to play the lead, Undine Spragg, but because of time not spent working on the project and the interpretation of Spragg being an "unlikeable female protagonist," Apple decided to pull the plug. If Sofia thought so strongly about the project, perhaps she could make like her old man, the great Francis Ford Coppola, and pony up the money for the show and shop it around, like he is doing with Megalopolis.
