Dr Marcus on the changing dynamics of the Middle East
Since the end of the Second World War, America has been the preponderant outside force in the Middle East. However, according to Dr Marcus Papadopoulos, in recent times, the dynamics of West Asia have changed quite significantly. Dr Marcus averred that Israel, while remaining immensely powerful, no longer has the clout in the Middle East which it once enjoyed. And Dr Marcus contended that that decline is on account of how America’s position in West Asia is being challenged by what he refers to in his book, “Arise, Rossiya: The Return of Russia to World Politics”, as an unofficial alliance comprising Russia, Iran, Syria, and Hezbollah. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMAqLrQ8M9k
This is the cover of Dr Marcus Papadopoulos' recently published book, *Arise, Rossiya*, which may be purchased from either [GM Books](https://gmbooks.com/product/arise-rossiya-the-return-of-russia-to-world-politics/) or from [Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/Arise-Rossiya-Return-Russia-Politics/dp/B0BQ56FQ57). The book charters the course of Russian foreign policy under the helm of Vladimir Putin, from the time he ascended to power in the Kremlin to the present-day. The author demonstrates his profound knowledge and understanding of the objectives of Russia on the international stage, and the methods which Moscow employs in pursuit of these, by examining the Kremlin’s relations with 25 countries which he avers to be of paramount importance to the Russian leadership, commencing with the near abroad, the former Soviet space, described by him as “imperative for Russia’s plan to fully resurrect the power and influence which it had globally wielded during the Soviet period.”
Dr Papadopoulos also relays to the reader the pitiful and lamentable condition of Russia that Putin inherited, and examines the policies and personalities of Mikhail Gorbachev and Boris Yeltsin which were to spell catastrophe for Soviet and then Russian power, both at home and abroad, the ramifications, of which, are still being felt inside Russia today. Arise, Rossiya is devoid of the prejudice towards Russia that has historically clouded the judgment of Western historians and analysts when assessing Moscow’s foreign policy goals; instead, the book has been written by someone who possesses an intimate comprehension of Russian history and the Russian people, as well as a mastery of the Russian structures of power and Russian policy-making, all, of which, is complemented by interviews with senior politicians and academics which the author secured for the purposes of this book.
Arise, Rossiya is indispensable for students, politicians, diplomats, journalists or lay people who seek to truly understand the origins and motives behind a Russian resurgence that the world is witness to today.

In this talk, Dr Marcus Papadopoulos focused on Israel’s ties to Saudi Arabia and Turkey, a reality that many people are oblivious to. He explained how Israel and Saudi Arabia enjoy an informal strategic relationship with one another, and how Israel has a strategic partnership with Turkey. Both of the aforementioned partnerships, according to Dr Marcus, were initiated by America, so as to cement Western hegemony in the Middle East. Further to that, Dr Marcus enlightened viewers concerning two aspects to the Israeli-Turkish strategic partnership: Firstly, the Israelis and the Turks collaborate with each other to aid Azerbaijan against Armenia (Dr Marcus said that Israel has aligned itself with Azerbaijan so that it can use the Muslim country to spy on Iran); and secondly, the Israelis and the Turks work together to deny the Armenian Genocide and undermine efforts in the world to discuss and commemorate this heinous act of mass murder.

In this interview, Dr Marcus Papadopoulos argued that the adoption by the US Government of the largest defence budget in American history - $858 billion - at a time when American national debt stands at an astronomical $31 trillion, is indicative of the desperate and parlous condition that the American Empire finds itself in. Furthermore, Dr Marcus spoke about major stirrings of anger across the US at rising levels of poverty - 44 million Americans live below the breadline - and at the normalisation of decadence, sexual perversion, and paedophilia. Dr Marcus said that those stirrings are particular prominent in the Southern states of the US, where culture and God are integral to the identity of the people there. Finally, Dr Marcus said that the first victim in history of the Federal Government of the United States of America was the Confederate States of America (CSA), in which Union troops invaded the CSA and then murdered, plundered, and raped their way through the Southern states. And Dr Marcus commented on how following the end of that war, in 1865, the American Federal Government carried out cultural genocide in the Southern states.
