If you don't know much about libertarianism then whatever you have heard is probably wrong. It's a philosophy with many presumptions surrounding but not many people actually take the time to understand it, possibly out of fear that it will cause them to question the comfortable conclusions they've been handed about politics, philosophy and economics. It's a school of thought reaching back thousands of years concerning what it means to be human and free.
