Raid on St. Nazaire is a solitaire game from Avalon Hill set in World war 2. However with a little ingenuity, there is no reason why this game couldn't be played as a two player or even multiplayer game. The video takes the viewer through an unboxing, I show the components of the game and explain roughly how to play. If nothing else you need to see the graphics of this game, first class work! In this game you play the British raiding party out to destroy as much of the strategically important port of st. Nazaire as you can. The Germans (at least in the solitaire game) appear from preset starting positions, throughout the game. You roll for their entry each turn. Over time so many German reinforcements will appear that your squad of saboteurs will be overrun. So there is time pressure here to perform. The game starts quite charmingly out at sea, so you get to experience the whole operation from start to finish. Not a lot happens out there but the action soon hots up as you approach the harbour. Raid on St. Nazaire contains some nice graphics, typical of the period of what it was produced (mid to late eighties) I am doubting whether many visitors to this website or LBRY channel have actually played this game, but if you have please do leave a comment.
