I SWAPPED My Cheap Audi R8 ENGINE In My GARAGE AT HOME *It Only Took A Year*
More than a year after I bought my 2008 Audi R8 with the Heffner twin turbo kit, it runs again. We pulled the old V8 out that was down a cylinder and installed a BRAND NEW engine from Audi that cost $20,000 plus a ton of other brand new parts to support it. Over the course of 3 days we swapped everything over to the new engine, installed it in the car, then got everything hooked back up. But after we pulled the failed turbo off we decided to continue replacing all the common failure parts on the LNF engine. When you're driving a car that's 31 years old and from a far away land, you're bound to run into some issues. My 1990 Nissan GT-R has no A/C and now the windows are starting to be flaky. it's one thing to have no A/C, but no windows leaves you drenched in sweat within minutes. That's not a great feeling and it's worse when you have to try to drive RHD in an LHD country with a near impossible clutch and a wild amount of power. So today, we're going to repair the R32 window controls... and wouldn't you know it, there are more issues than some simple yet very expensive switches.

If you post anything with an engine online I'm interested, so when a friend posted a couple of asphalt rollers up I called and said I'm on my way. I headed straight over to their paving company to see far more equipment than I ever expected to see for sale. Everything from the rollers I went to look at to Ford trucks and Bobcats. I might pick up quite a bit of this stuff just to get it running and have some fun with equipment.

Naveed Jamali was a double agent for the FBI, and this is his car. The car is a 2006 Chevy Corvette Z06, tastefully modded and totally black, this is a car that's nearly impossible to hide in. He wanted a few mods done while the car was here and one of them was adding a backup camera to the Kenwood double din headunit that was installed. I bought a 67 Camaro RS for only $6,500 and I'm taking it to LS Fest East in only 5 days. We've got the rebuilt Powerglide transmission and the LS2 from J&J Auto Wrecking in and now the former SAAB engine is getting the complete Holley Terminator EFI treatment. After a very intense week, the $400 Geo Tracker engine rebuild is finished! We went through everything but the rotating assembly, dealt with a warped head, cracked exhaust manifold, missing gaskets from the rebuild set, plenty of missing hardware, and parts from all over the country. This little 1.6L 16 valve 4 cylinder runs like a top! We've got a few little things to finish up like fine timing and valve adjustments but it can move under it's own power. Amberghini and Jake are along for the first start-up and drive. As far as cost... well, it cost EVERYTHING.

Headlight restoration is a huge deal these days. After cars switched to plastic headlight lenses we had to find ways to fix them when the UV coatings degrade and the plastic itself starts to break down. The plastic yellows or becomes hazy, reducing the light output and making the car look much worse. Now it seems like everyone makes a kit to fix them.
