They traveled north to the Clear Water Cave with Shini and defeated the Magic Demon Bedra to obtain the Tensu Flower. Unfortunately, when they got back to Eterne Village, Nelgel, the Lord of Hades, was burning the place to the ground. Heorot died, but his soul was taken to the Temple of Light. He was reincarnated in Agurani Village as a Dwarf Thief of the same name who died in the Akuronia Mountain Mine. Now, Heorot will get started with the Agurani Village storyline. Since Heorot is out of the prologue scenario, he is eligible to receive the preorder presents. Preorder presents can be assigned by choosing the fourth option on the loading screen and then selecting the appropriate save file. The first present contains the Angel Slime Hat and a Double Bubble. The Angel Slime Hat boosts experience points earned in battle by 10%. The Double Bubble doubles experience and gold earned in battle for 30 minutes. The second, for the deluxe version, contains the Loto/Erdrick cosmetic equipment set and the Diamond Prism. Prisms come into play a little later in the game. The third contains the Meda Prince Prism. The fourth contains the Meda Prism. The fifth contains the Ruby Prism. The sixth contains another Double Bubble. Agurani Village (time 1:33): Heorot resumes in the church in Agurani Village. He equips the Angel Slime Hat for the boost to experience points earned in battle. He equips the Erdrick Armour for cosmetic reasons. The starting Dwarf Work gear is slightly better in most respects, though. Heorot enters the church's side room for a cutscene with Runana, an ambitious human woman. She asks Heorot to find Sage Broggen in the Akuronia Mountain Mine. In return, she offers to give him a Zoom Stone, a very useful item. Sister Marere has story info. Heorot leaves the church and begins exploring the upper level of town. Outside the inn, he finds 5 gold in a barrel. The inn charges 5 gold per rest or stay. Heorot finds a set of Dwarf Work Pants with Shoes in the inn's wardrobe. The shops are in the square south of the inn. Heorot picks up some Medicinal Herbs at the open-air item shop. At the weapon shop, he picks up a Leather Shield for 50 gold. He also sells the extra Dwarf Work Pants with shoes. By the stairway below the church, Heorot finds a Single Phial in a pot. In the southwest, Heorot takes the elevator to the bottom level of town. He finds a Medicinal Herb in a barrel near the lower elevator stop. Another item shop and inn are down here. Behind the inn in the southeast, Heorot finds Mini Medal #001 in a barrel. Whee! In a pot next to the southwestern house, he finds a Single Phial. Ihichi in the southwestern house has story info. So does Ninchai by the entrance to the Akuronia Mountain Mine in the west. Heorot enters the well. A chest contains 3 Medicinal Herbs. On the west side of the Foreman's house in the north, Heorot finds Mini Medal #002 in a barrel. A bookshelf in the Foreman's house contains info about MP. Heorot exits west to the Akuronia Mountain Mine. Akuronia Mountain Mine (time 20:52): Heorot gains control in the northeast of the mine. He equips the Beginner's Claws and begins exploring. Easy Slimes and Mischievous Moles inhabit the northern chambers, but be careful when the Moles boost their tension. Heorot reaches Thief Level 2. He learns the spell Evac and obtains 3 skill points. The Offline edition of the game features a Skill Panel like the Character Builder in DQ11. However, for the protagonist, each weapon skill has a separate panel. I have noticed that abilities in the vocation skill, such as the Thief's Acquisitiveness, are earned by leveling and not by spending skill points. Under Fisticuffs, Heorot picks up the ability Stone's Throw, the first node to the right, for 1 point and a boost to unarmed hit rate, the next node, for 2 points. The player earns an accolade for picking up a skill on the Skill Panel. In the next room to the south, Heorot turns and goes to the room to the east. He finds a sparkly spot that yields Copper Ore. Aboard the Unreliable, they installed the Acid Steeper into SAM and concluded the companion quest "The Cleaning Machine". SAM is now available to help the party clean up Halcyon. Back at the Groundbreaker, they revisited Gladys. After concluding her side quest "The Distress Signal", they bought the Stellar Bay Navkey. They visited Lilya Hagen at the SubLight offices and picked up her faction quest "Space-Crime Continuum". Aboard the Unreliable, the Murder on Eridanos DLC main quest "No Night Without Stars" began, but the party will do this much later. The party contacted Phineas Welles again, concluding the main quest "Passage to Anywhere". The next main quest, "Radio Free Monarch", has begun. The party landed in Stellar Bay on Monarch. They accepted the side quest "The Grimm Tomorrow" from Grimm. As Welles recommended, the party visited Nyoka in the Yacht Club bar, but she needs help recovering from her hangover before she can serve as their guide. She issued the side quest "Passion Pills". The party also met Caleb Herrick, who issued the side quest "Herrick's Handiwork". In the Monarch Stellar Industries office, the party met MSI's leader, Sanjar Nandi, who issued the faction quest "BOLT with His Name". Now, the party will continue exploring Stellar Bay and undertaking quests. Stellar Bay: The party resumes in the Monarch Stellar Industries office in the middle of Stellar Bay. Next, they talk to Sanjar's assistant, Celia Robbins. They first ask her about her exchange with Sanjar. She has been buying some questionable items from a vendor named Sebastian because she is attracted to him. The party offers to approach him on her behalf. This starts the task quest "Flowers for Sebastian". The first objective is to ask Sebastian on a date for Celia. For "The Grimm Tomorrow", the party talks to Celia about Grimm's tossball poster. This concludes the objective to check with Celia. The next objective is to speak with Velma at the warehouse. "Sanjar's To-Do List" is on the desk in the MSI reception room. The warehouse is in the north of town. They work with real, actual fish here, unlike the cannery in Edgewater. In the northwest of the main room, they talk to the boss, Velma Ballard. He visited Archangel Mitlar at the Heavenly Shrine in Folion and received the Shield of Astoltia and the Divine Sword Rectalis, both newly remade. Afterwards, they visited Jia Rubé, who learned that she and her brother were nothing more than tools to their crystal sovereign. Then, Davilas and Yuraiza found the Secret Rooms under the Eternal Temple. After finding the key, they activated the Light Furnace, which can make champions gods. While Mitlar began researching how to deify Fosteil, Davilas began carrying out required story quests for his champion friends. He carried out Quest 748: "Oath of the Three Warriors" for Cob, Nanna, and Tortam. Now, Davilas will carry out a couple other story quests. Davilas resumes in his house in the Azlan Housing Area on Eltona, the Elf continent. He is currently a Level 127 Minstrel. Outside, he checks his mail and receives gold for items that sold on the bazaar. Many thanks to the buyers! Davilas uses the Soul Candlestick to Zoom to the Divine Capital Folion - Central destination. Divine Capital Folion (time 2:26): Davilas visits the pub at E-4. He changes his vocation to Level 101 Sage. Davilas enters the God's Rebirth Hall inn at C-3/D-3. On the ground floor, Bennul, the innkeeper, has story info. In the west of the lobby, Davilas talks to Hakuou at C-2. Hakuou issues Quest 749: "Remnants of the King of Time". The next objective is to visit Colin at the Lord's Mansion in Azlan, the Town of Wind. Outside, Davilas uses the Soul Candlestick to return to Astoltia. New Eteene Village (time 7:52): Davilas Zooms to Azlan, the Town of Wind. Azlan (time 8:14): Davilas uses the convenient teleportal at G-5 to fast-travel to the Lord's Mansion. He enters the mansion area at B-5. In the kitchen at D-4, he talks to ... Colin? What are you thinking, little buddy? You might get scrambled if you show up here like that! Anyway, there is dialogue between Hakuou and Colin. The next objective is to talk to High Priest Iyori at the the Kirika Cathedral in town. Davilas leaves the mansion. In the northeastern part of town, he enters the Kirika Cathedral at E-3. At E-2, he talks to High Priest Iyori at the pulpit. Iyori gives him the Ancient Thread-Bound Book (古びた糸とじの書) key item. Davilas must read the book and return it to him. Davilas opens his key items and reads the Ancient Thread-Bound Book (古びた糸とじの書). It has information about Bitter Lily Grass (ニガユリ草). Davilas talks to High Priest Iyori at E-2 again and returns the Ancient Thread-Bound Book. His next destination is the Kirika Grassland, where he must hunt Leafy Larrikins (もみじこぞう) to obtain Bitter Lily Grass (ニガユリ草). Davilas exits east at H-5 to the Azlan Region. Azlan Region (time 19:36): Davilas rides Ruban's wagon at C-6 to the Shadow Village in the northeast of the zone. Beyond the Shadow Village, he exits at E-1 to the Kirika Grassland. Kirika Grassland (time 20:56): Right along the road, Davilas encounters a group of Leafy Larrikins (もみじこぞう) at D-3. After a battle, he obtains the Bitter Lily Grass (ニガユリ草) key item. The next objective is to revisit High Priest Iyori in Azlan's church. Davilas Zooms to Azlan, the Town of Wind. Azlan (time 22:16): Davilas enters the Kirika Cathedral at E-3. At E-2, he talks to High Priest Iyori. This triggers a scene with Hakuou, who relives a memory. The next objective is to report to Hakuou at the inn in Folion. Davilas leaves the church. He uses the Soul Candlestick to Zoom to the Divine Capital Folion - Central destination. Divine Capital Folion (time 30:16): Davilas enters the God's Rebirth Hall inn at C-3/D-3. In the west of the lobby, he reports to Hakuou at C-2. Quest 749 complete! Davilas earns 3 Wind Dragon Feathers (風竜の羽毛). There are a couple more story quests to carry out. At D-2 in the inn, Davilas talks to Linarshe. Linarshe issues Quest 750: "Diva's Gift". She wants to find Wena Berries. The first objective is to talk to Ofanim at the Water Source of Heavenly Tears. Davilas leaves the inn. He prematurely uses the Soul Candlestick to return to Astoltia. New Eteene Village (time 34:59): Davilas uses the Soul Candlestick to Zoom to the Water Source of Heavenly Tears - Waterview Bridge destination in the Blue Training Ground region. The enemies there are barely any trouble anymore, and the leveling is getting a little slow. So, the party will now move their hunt to Baramos's Lair, where there are plenty of experience points to earn. Alltrades Abbey: The party resumes at Alltrades Abbey. They Zoom to the town of Asham. Overworld (time 0:59): Outside Asham, the party climbs aboard Ramia. They fly southwest to Necrogond. They land outside the castle on the western island in the plateau's lake. They enter Baramos's Lair. Baramos's Lair (time 1:23): Welcome to the final dungeon of the Overworld, Baramos's Lair. The party will not be exploring it yet. From the outdoor areas, the party can Zoom elsewhere without having to Evac first. There are plenty of strong enemies around. Living Statues have fairly high strength, and they can get in desperate attacks. Leger-de-Men have a variety of offensive and debuffing magic at their disposal, as well as fire breath attacks. However, Leger-de-Men can drop Yggdrasil Leaves. Armfuls can act twice per round, and they have Burning Breath, which can paralyze multiple party members. Silhouettes can cast Whack and Thwack, but they have fairly low health. The party may also encounter Liquid Metal Slimes. They are even harder to kill than Metal Slimes, but they leave behind ca. 10,000 experience points apiece. However, there is a better place to hunt them later. Sylv the Sage reaches Level 29 and learns the Mage spell Kasizzle. Kasizzle is the strongest group fire spell. Red the Merchant reaches Level 29. Serena the Sage reaches Level 28. She learns the Priest spell Thwack and the Mage spell Bounce. Bounce erects a barrier that reflects magic to the caster. Davilas the Hero reaches Level 34 and learns the spell Fullheal. Even before the two Sages! Fullheal fully restores one living party member's HP. Red the Merchant reaches Level 30. Sylv the Sage reaches Level 30. He learns the Priest spell Fullheal and the Mage spell Sheen. Sheen cures a single ally of curse. After a lucky Liquid Metal Slime kill, Red the Merchant reaches Level 31. Serena the Sage reaches Level 29 and learns the Mage spell Kasizzle. The party steps outside and Zooms to Asham. Overworld (time 26:05): They enter Asham. Asham (time 26:10): The party rests at the inn. Then, they leave town again. Overworld (time 26:29): The party flies back to Baramos's Lair.
