Koh Kood, at 25 km long and 12 km wide, is the sixth largest island in Thailand, and the median of the 3 sister islands -the other two islands are Koh Chang and Koh Maak- that lie at the easternmost maritime part of the country, next to the Cambodian border. Most of the island is covered by low mountains – its highest peak reaches 315 meters – upholstered by dense jungle vegetation.
Located at the southern end of the west coast, Ao Bang Bao is a well-sheltered bay between two prominent headlands, which keep the waters calm and transparent. Quiet but not isolated, its beach is one of the most beautiful in Koh Kood, with elongated photogenic wooden docks that go into the sea. Water is shallow next to the shore, so it is a good option if traveling with kids.
The beach features fantastic sand and clear water. The atmosphere on the beach is very relaxed and a perfect destination for anyone that wants to relax under the shade trees or spend a day paddling on the clear water in a canoe before seeing a sunset from your hotel balcony.

One of the oldest night markets in Taipei, the Raohe Street Night Market 饒河夜市 is packed with food, retail and entertainment stalls.
Raohe Street Night Market is the epitome of authentic Taiwanese experience. With its wide range of traditional street food stalls, quaint retail shops, and arcade style activities, this is a must visit for any tourist.
As the name suggests, it’s located along Raohe Street in the Songshan District.
So while the market is not as big or well-known as the Shilin Night Market, it has around 600 meters of shopping space. This single pedestrian lane makes this open air market easy to navigate and browse through. It is also not as touristy and crowded as some of the orher markets.
You know when you’re at Raohe the moment you see a temple at the beginning of the road.
The 250 year old Ciyou Temple, built during the Qing Dynasty by residents, sits at the eastern end of the market just outside the Songshan Station. Its is close to the MRT Green Line, making finding it very easy.
Some stalls may open as early as 4:00pm or 5:00pm but it is best to come around 7:00PM to enjoy all the shops open. The peak of the market is around 9:00pm.
This is my favorite night market in the city. If you are in Taipei try to stop by here, see the temple and then try some of the local food.

Wat Tong Pu is situated in the Lopburi province. The term Tong Pu means the place for soldiers to muster before battle. Wat Tong Pu is considered an ancient Maha Nikaya Mon temple in Lopburi.
It's unknown when it was built but it was restored in the reign of King Narai during the Ayuttaya period. Some characteristics of the Mon and the Laos people has apparently influenced the artistry such as the Cabinets for the Tripitaka in the temple hall and the gilded black lacquer door panels of the wihan.
This ancient temple is very significant as a religious site from the Ayutthaya period. The temple is still in good excellent and there are monks still in residence.
The base of the wihan is a lotus flower shaped pedestal for the Buddhist image where the statue of the Buddha is meditating in Khmer-Lopburi style. The stone boundary markers, the sermon hall has a curved base, lancet windows and curve roofing tiles. These are all architectural styles used during the reign of King Narai.
The stupa is similar to the stupa of Wat Manee Chonkant nearby in Lopburi. The laterite Buddha image with a Naga over his head enshrined inside the wihan and the principle Buddha image of the temple are of the Ayutthaya style sculptures.
Lopburi has many things to see and is a great part of Thailand. This temple is well maintained and a nice look into the history of the region.

Geumgang Park Cable Car
Add this cable car to your list of to do activities in Busan. The panoramic view of the cities development through valleys of verdant mountains is breathtaking. On a clear day the Gwangan bridge is visible. Atop Geumjeong-san, you're well positioned for a short hike to Geumjeong Fortress, a four hour hike to Beomeo-sa, or a two hour adventure to Seokbul-sa.
At the top, near the cable-car platform, there are tables serving food and drinks.
The cable car is a 15 minute walk from Oncheonjang station. From Exit 1, walk left to the intersection. Cross the street and turn right at the first corner. Follow the road sign pointing to Geumgang Park. The cable car is 150m from the park entrance; look for the 'Ropeway' sign.
The best views of the city are from the cable car and it is worth the round trip price of 9,000 Korean Won to see. I always explore the city first and then try to see it from above. Knowing the layout and where everything is at adds a bit of enjoyment for me by seeing everything from a different vantage point.
