This 2022 Regal 36 XO was on display at last years St Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show. The boat gained so much attention and popularity, it was sold before the show was over. A quick walk through of this very unique sports cruiser and it is easy to see why! This is the perfect Florida weekend cruiser! You have a very comfortable aft cockpit that can be like a saloon area or can be converted into a large sun pad if you prefer. Once you walk through those sliding glass doors, you have the galley on the starboard side, and saloon to port. This is all finished to a very high standard and includes extras like a drop-down roof mounted smart TV, and a large retractable roof like a car sunroof. Moving forward, you have the helm position on starboard and will find joystick controls, digital throttles, twin multi-function display units, VHF radio, and so much more. What splits this boat from most others, is the walk-through access to the bow area. This feels very much like a bow rider, with a large convertible sun pad up front. This a great way of getting to the bow, especially if you have young family onboard. Despite being a great bow rider, there is very comfortable accommodations down below for 4 adults. There is a California Queen center island berth on the bow, and a saloon that converts to either 2 single berths, or a large double by using infill cushions. This area is of course fully air-conditioned, and there is a large heads compartment down below as well. This Shaefer 303 Sport was on display at the St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show earlier this year. Of all the boats on display at the boat show, this is by far one of the best options for a couple looking for their first weekend cruiser. Shaefer offer this boat with a wide range of both inboard and outboard options to consider, but this one is powered by twin 225 Mercury outboards. I personally would recommend this configuration for extra space onboard, more accessible beaches by being able to trim those engines up, and more access for engine maintenance. The boat has many options as basic or as luxurious as you want. Options include generator, air conditioning, upgraded electronics, and much more. The boat on display had many of those upgrades included and show cased a spacious cockpit under an extended bimini top. There is a wet bar for keeping drinks and refreshments close at hand, and a very relaxing lounge seat opposite the helm position. The helm is very well equipped for a boat of this size with full engine instrumentation, a VHF radio, a multi-function display unit that contains a chart plotter and sounder, and full controls of the windlass, trim tabs, and more. There are a few steps up from the helm that lead out to the bow where there is a large sun pad, but I loved the guardrails in place to keep everyone safe and secure. From the helm, you also can go a few steps down and enter the lower accommodation area. Down below you have the saloon on the bow that converts into a double berth, you have a heads compartment including toilet, shower, and sink; there is a microwave oven and you can upgrade to have a stove top as well. However, the big surprise is that there is also a double berth under the cockpit as well. This would be a fantastic boat for a couple or small family to enjoy weekend cruising. This Jupiter 43 SF is the perfect answer for those in the market for a premium, high performance, offshore fishing boat. This particular example has over 1600hp and can reach speeds of around 65mph in the right conditions.
