24 April, 2022: GB News - Mike Buchanan and a radical feminist, "Is it time for a Minister for Men?"
My second interview with GB News, the only mainstream media channel willing to give us a platform (I've been on BBC TV and radio many times, but not for a few years now). The estimable Nigel Farage is a prominent face on the channel, so you know it's a good channel.
We've just changed the name of our political party from Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them) http://j4mb.org.uk to the Children & Family Party http://cafp.uk. All the men's and boys' issues we campaigned about from 2013 are in the new manifesto https://cafp.uk/manifesto/.
BBC Radio Nottingham failed to invite Ray Barry, the J4MB candidate in the 2015 general election, to the hour-long hustings they broadcast live. Ray complained, and was allowed this short opportunity to speak to Alan Clifford - a man who evidently couldn't be bothered to shave before his publicity photograph - a week later, on the eve of the election. With no apparent sense of irony, Alan started off with the comment, 'You might know some of the candidates standing in Broxtowe. There's one who perhaps hasn't... er... got as much publicity as some of the others, but that's about to change...'.

Our thanks to E for editing together a number of videos to arrive at this, a record of our anti-MGM protests outside the Home Office - the ministry into which the police report - and in Parliament Square, on 1 June, 2016. The section on Mike Buchanan's personal protest in Parliament Square starts at 5:37. The action for which he was later charged with obstructing the highway lasted just seven seconds, from 13:31.
A slightly longer video (16:38) is available on our Vimeo channel:

Our protests were against the police for not arresting those who carry out the criminal offence of MGM. On 15 June we shall be protesting outside the offices of the Crown Prosecution Service for their part in not defending male babies, infants, and children, from the barbaric procedure, which leads to so much physical and psychological suffering.

Adnan Ahmed (aka Addy Agame) went from being a men’s dating coach in Scotland to championing men’s rights activism due to a prejudicial media scandal which led to corrupt legal proceedings involving false allegations and a wrongful conviction. The wrongful conviction was appealed and overturned in the High Court as no actual crime had taken place, resulting in a full acquittal, proven innocence, total vindication and a ‘not guilty’ verdict. Adnan now aims to help men in similar situations in criminal / family courts, who are fighting for justice against gynocentric social justice influenced legal systems in western societies.
This video is one of 120 videos published for the sixth International Conference on Men's Issues (2020) http://icmi2020.icmi.info, a conference originally planned for Sydney, Australia, but later turned into a virtual conference due to Covid-19.
From #metoo to the American Psychological Association’s guidelines pathologizing “masculinity” as harmful, to Gillette’s razor adverts blaming all men for the actions of a damaged few, ideologically motivated groups have used unchallenged narratives of female victimhood to promote damaging stereotypes about men and boys, masculinity and men’s relationships to each other.
More than ever before, recognition of men’s issues is needed. Men and boys deserve compassion, they deserve consideration for their unique needs, and they deserve our support.
Men and boys also deserve respect for their unique contributions to society and an end to the promotion of unkind stereotyping of being harmful, abusive, toxic, selfish and hateful. We would not tolerate this stereotyping directed towards any other group.
We are in an era of unprecedented ideological conflict. By reducing men’s ability to take a positive identity from their masculinity we are encouraging young men to pursue ever more radical ideologies to find a place to belong. In turn we are also encouraging young women to embrace an identity as society’s victims rather than its equal co-creators.
The inaugural conference was held in 2014, and since 2016 the conference has been held annually:
- Detroit (2014)
- London (2016)
- Gold Coast, Australia (2017)
- London (2018)
- Chicago (2019)
Playlists of all 100+ presentations at the conferences (as well as the 120 at this one) are here, along with playlists of the presentations at the Messages 4 Men conferences in London (2017-19) and the (UK) National Conference on Men's Issues, “Domestic Abuse is a Men’s Issue, Too” (2020):

Davies MP https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_Davies is a Conservative MP, the only MP - out of a total of 650 - who ever speaks up for men and boys as a class. In October 2012, five months before the launch of J4MB, the Anti-Feminism League http://fightingfeminism.wordpress.com presented Philip Davies with a Winston award https://fightingfeminism.wordpress.com/2012/10/20/rt-hon-philip-davies-mp-is-awarded-a-winston/ for comments he'd made about gender differences in prison sentencing. He has also spoken out against the government's bullying of FTSE companies to increase the proportion of women on their boards.
On 27 October Jess Phillips, an odious Labour MP, blocked Philip Davies's application for time to be set aside on International Men's Day to the first-ever parliamentary debate on men's issues. This video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Z60LUV3V0E relates to that exchange.
The committee on which Jess Phillips sits subsequently decided to permit Philip Davies his debate, and a video of that debate his introduction is above. Philip put in a sterling performance, despite some scandalous attempts by feminist MPs to disrupt his speech.
One male MP said he felt International Men's Day was an appropriate day for men to show collective determination to stop men commiting violence against women. We can be sure that on International Women's Day he won't say it's an appropriate day for women to show collective determination to stop women committing violence against men.
We were pleased to hear a mention of Mankind Initiative in a section starting at 35:02, and of male circumcision at 41:50.

This is an interview of Karen Straughan by Elizabeth Hobson and Mike Buchanan.
Karen Straughan is a leading voice in the men’s rights movement, and an unapologetic anti-feminist. She’s a recurring guest on several talk radio shows in the US, both regional and nationally syndicated, and has presented or panelled at conferences in the US, the UK, Ireland, Norway, Australia and her home country of Canada. She has been involved in all previous ICMIs as a presenter or MC.
The mantra by which she lives is: Anti-feminism is the radical notion that women are adults.
