I've been practicing my freestyle and troubleshooting some drone issues at the church, lately. I think I have it all worked out now, but I still need to replace my right stick (gimbal) asap. It's manageable until then.
A funny thing happened while I was flying, I caught the cross light turning on, for the second time. The first time it happened, several months ago, it was even better timing (I've included that old clip, at the very end).
My little brother came home from PA to get his car, a week after moving - hence the title. We sent our folks on a scavenger hunt around Chicago, concluding with front row seats to a Cubs game. While they were out, us kids had our run of the house and I did some flying.
I edited this twice... I don't even know if I like it anymore :P The first time I wrapped on it, my ssd failed... at 97% complete (35 seconds left to go, haha). I might have more cuts in this 2nd edition.
This is a 6 inch wizard clone with 5 inch cyclone props. My rates are too high, and this wasn't my best flying, but I just couldn't help myself. Sometimes editing is super cathartic. Enjoy!

I was eaten alive by mosquitoes for this footage :P and blew an ESC on my 5th battery :/ I've only got one original wizard ESC left, haha.
Andy and I still managed to have a good time, but I wish we'd gotten there sooner. That side of the park has a very early "golden hour" apparently :/
I have yet to fly this place with both good lighting and a GoPro, haha.

It doesn't say the Art Institute of Indianapolis, but I used to go to school in the second pyramid. It was hardly even a detour on our rout back from Tennessee, so I got two quick packs in before dinner. There are so many other things I want to do at this spot. Next time I'll go with fresh gear and fly for more than 10 minutes :P Maybe we'll have to go visit The Cousin Dan for part two.

My first time alone at the Fort. Pretty sure I got yelled at by an old man... I think he thought I was someone else, haha.
But I wanted to be sorta low profile for these flights - not to much throttle, minimal punching, smooth flying. I kinda like how it turned out.

Some more flying near my folks' house in Diversatech. I wasn't planning to make an edit for this GoPro footage, but I've been stuck inside with a fever this 4th of July :( So, instead of flying, I've been editing, and instead of seeing me orbit some mortars, you get some fast flying with a loose quad.
The GoPro footage was shot on my niece's birthday, June 30th. Happy birthday, Kelsea Joy.
The DVR footage was taken from the day Stacey and I left on our Tennessee vacation. I'd been wanting to use some of it in a video, and I feel like it fits this song well enough.
I used some warp stabilizer and twixtor (slomo) in Premiere. Hope you like it! Take your vitamins.

These are the very first couple of flights from our trip to TN. Just getting to know the yard.
I snapped my Wizard in half, the day before we left. Thankfully a friend helped me out and gave me a spare Mach 1 frame, among other things, to fly on vacation. It would've been a very different trip, without a quad. I should've replaced the motors, there wouldn't be so much jello. Part of it's my fault, for not soft mounting the motors and keeping the arms tight.
I had a lot of issues with jello this trip. But my goggles' feed seemed great, and flying all week was a blast. Some of the DVR might be better than the GoPro footage due to ND filter flaws. Sometimes I just feel like DVR reveals fewer of my mistakes, haha.
The spectators towards the end are the neighbors: Charlie, Levi, and Georgie (aka Nolan) - legendary folks.

Three videos, all from the same day. The new motors give me a little more speed than usual and I think it's changing the way I fly. The last clip has some warp stabilizer applied to it in certain spots. I'm not sure I'm a huge fan, but I was eager to play with it. Enjoy!

I'm gonna need new parts for this thing, sooner than later. Moskito 70 is a great name, because this thing is tiny and bloodthirsty! 1103 10,000KV motors with a 2S Lipo - it just wants to go fast. It is not like a tiny whoop, not by a long shot, but it is incredibly addicting... I'm just afraid I'm gonna destroy it by crashing at speed, haha.
IT took me a while to get used to it, but once I stopped trying to muscle the Moskito into precision proximity-flying, and embraced the speed instead, things really started to click.
I thought the music was particularly fitting, as it's from the Furi game soundtrack, and this drone is made by furious fpv :P
Enjoy!
