Two Sherps hanging out. Went to Flater's Resort located between the Chippewa and Flambau Rivers by Holcombe, WI. We plan to make this a reoccurring event. Went through deep snow, into and out of the river from and to ice. Sherps were "walking on water." A 2023 Polaris 850 XCR was unsuccessful water skipping. Snowmobiles don't float like a Sherp. I can't imagine being in that cold water. The Sherps were put to work retrieving the sunken snowmobile. McMiller Sport Center hosted a week long camp for 11 - 15 year olds. Over 80 people signed up. Kids experienced lots of unique outdoor experiences (shooting, horseback riding, outdoor survival, Sherp ride, etc.). Recently, I noticed that the Sherp was not turning well. I do have about 200 hours on the Sherp and have not really cleaned out the bottom of the Sherp. I assumed that oil got onto the rotors which was true but not excessive. But I discovered the bottom main brake caliper bolt had fallen out. I used one of the bolts from the parking brake caliper to fix. I never use the parking brake. But, the caliper was still moving slightly along with increased travel distance on the steering handle. Sherp USA (Josh and Mark) provided some guidance and sent me a new brake caliper. I install the new Sherp Caliper during this video.
