* (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) * Georgetown County, South Carolina — Attorneys representing the family of a man fatally shot in February by a Hemingway police officer released the dashcam footage from the shooting. Video shows former Hemingway police officer Cassandra Dollard, 52, slipped and fell before fatally shooting Robert Junior Langley, 46. On Feb. 6, Dollard saw a silver car traveling west on Andrews Street in Hemingway and failed to stop for a stop sign, according to a police report. After some attempted communication, it shows officer Dollard approaching the vehicle and ultimately shooting Langley as he tried to exit through a passenger door. The video also shows her attempt CPR on Langley as she tells him EMS is en route. Officer Dollard, 52, was taken into custody Feb. 9 on the manslaughter charge after an investigation conducted by SLED. She was released from jail the following day on $150,000 bail.

Los Angeles, California — On October 11, 2022 around 3:30 a.m., Harbor Patrol officers were conducting extra patrol in the area of North Banning Boulevard and East E Street. They observed a blue, GMC, pick-up truck south of their location. The vehicle accelerated and collided with a tree located on the traffic medium on East E Street. The officers responded to the site of the traffic collision to investigate. As they deployed to the scene of the collision, they observed that the vehicle was empty, and its occupant had fled. Upon broadcasting the vehicle license plate information, officers learned the vehicle was reported stolen. After a brief search of the area, officers located the suspect, 41-year-old Jason Sanderson, hiding in some nearby bushes. A foot pursuit ensued in which Sanderson was chased from East E Street onto northbound Quay Avenue. At the end of the foot pursuit Sanderson pointed a semi-automatic pistol at the pursuing officers, resulting in an Officer-Involved Shooting.
Officers redeployed to nearby parked vehicles and radioed for help. Sanderson sought cover behind a parked semi-truck trailer and fired several additional rounds at the officers. Approximately five minutes after the first OIS, Sanderson pointed a firearm at the responding officers and second OIS occurred in which Sanderson was struck by gunfire. Officers formed an arrest team and took Sanderson into custody. Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced the suspect deceased at scene. No officers were injured during the incident. Numerous items of evidence were recovered near Sanderson’s body which included a 9mmPlymer 80 semi-automatic “Ghost Gun” pistol, one ten round magazine, a loaded Rossi stainless steel .38 caliber revolver with three spent casings and two live rounds in the cylinder, and (2) 9mm spent casings. Additionally, Sanderson was carrying a satchel during the OIS that contained a loaded J22, .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol, and additional .38 caliber and .22 caliber ammunition.

Bodycam videos Shows a traffic stop in Avondale early Thursday morning, December 8. In the video it can be seen the Cincinnati Police Officers take cover behind a patrol car when they hear gunshots. Police don't think they were being shot at, but it was a little too close for comfort. Sgt. Dan Hils, Cincinnati FOP President, said, “That, that gave me a sick feeling in my stomach. Especially with what's going on across the country. When--you saw it as well--when that shot rang out, their reaction was to think that they were being ambushed.” It was still unknown where the gunshots came from but that was being investigated.

Douglas County, Colorado — Bodycam video from a sheriff's deputy caught his rescue of a pet dog from a burning vehicle in Colorado. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office released the video of the tense moment, which took place on January 22, 2022. Deputy Michael Gregorek is shown pulling up to a distressed man and an SUV with smoke billowing from it. The man screamed that his dog was trapped inside the fiery vehicle. Without hesitation, Deputy Gregorek whipped out his retractable baton and smashed a passenger window and the back window. Seconds later the dog, named Hank, comes up to the back window and the owner tries to pull him out but is overwhelmed by the black smoke pouring out of the car. He yells “Omigod!” and moves away. Gregorek then reaches in and with much effort pulls Hank free. He runs over to a patch of snow with Hank in his arms and drops Hank in it as he proceeds to cough intensely from the smoke he has just breathed in. A veterinarian who lives in the neighborhood checked the dog out, and Hank appeared uninjured. It didn’t take long for him to be running around in the snow again.
