It just so happened that Chris had stayed up one night writing punk melodies/lyrics whilst downing a bottle of rum and blasting some grunge music. Chris showed Mitch the songs and the band was started. A 2 piece jam was held to see what it would sound like and soon after Devesh Alderman was contacted to cover bass duties. He liked how 'catchy' the songs were and the band kept practicing as a 3 piece. It came to attention one day that Mitch wanted more guitars and after explaining to Chris that Blink 182 have a second guitar in everything, Chris was convinced. Long time friend Malcolm Hawksworth just so happened to be travelling back from WA to QLD and it was decided that he would be asked. A resounding yes, re-working of songs, and about 5 hours of 'what should we call the band' later and 'Midnight Siren' were born.
