At that time, she had been dating the boy for barely four months. Whether she thought that her boyfriend would leave her or not doesn't matter because the boy ended up staying by her side thick and thin. Recalling her courageous story, her boyfriend stated: "We had only been hanging around for four months and then I got a c5 spinal cord injury. The boyfriend never left my side. I told him he didn't have to stay but we went back to college together, graduated in 2018, moved in together, got two puppies, and now over three years later, he is still the love of my life."
