Lyrics:
You've got to pick up every stitch
You've got to pick up every stitch
You've got to pick up every stitch
Mmm, must be the season of the witch
Must be the season of the witch, yeah
Must be the season of the witch
Welcome Back
℗ 1976 Reprise Records Inc. for the US, and WEA International for the world outside the US
Performance: John Sebastian
Writer: John Sebastian
Welcome back, your dreams were your ticket out
Welcome back, to that same old place that you laughed about
Well the names have all changed since you hung around
But those dreams have remained and they've turned around
Who'd have thought they'd lead ya
(Who'd have thought they'd lead ya)
Back here where we need ya
(Back here where we need ya)
Yeah we tease him a lot 'cause we got him on the spot
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back, welcome back
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back
We always could spot a friend, welcome back
And I smile when I think how you must have been
And I know what a scene you were learning in
Was there something that made you come back again
And what could ever lead ya
(What could ever lead ya)
Back here where we need ya
(Back here where we need ya)
Yeah we tease him a lot 'cause we got him on the spot
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back, welcome back
Welcome back, welcome back
And I know what a scene you were learning in
Was there something that made you come back again
And what could ever lead ya
(What could ever lead ya)
Back here where we need ya
(Back here where we need ya)
Yeah we tease him a lot 'cause we got him on the spot
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back, welcome back
Welcome back, welcome back
Yeah we tease him a lot, welcome back, welcome back
Cause we got him on the spot, welcome back, welcome back
Yeah we tease him a lot 'cause we got him on the spot
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back, welcome back
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back
Theme song for the Prince Namor the Sub-Mariner from the Marvel Super Heroes tv series by Grantray-Lawrence Animation from 1966.
Stronger than a whale
He can swim anywhere
He can breathe under water
And go flying through the air
The noble Sub Mariner, Prince of the deep
So, beware you deadly demons
Lord Namor of Atlantis
Is the Prince of the Deep
I got the vaccine, You got the vaccine
They got the vaccine, We got the vaccine
We can get back to normal
Let me inform you, Let’s all get the vaccine
It’s about Community Immunity
I’m talkin’ unity for you and me
If Doc says it’s good, then trust me it’s good
Now let’s all get the vaccine
I’m the king of rock, There is none higher
DMC – I will inspire
Time for us to trust and not debate,
The vaccine, believe it’s safe to take
Nine out of ten people won’t get sick, That’s 90% effective, and legit
This COVID thing is real, And it will find you
It’s killing our people, Let me remind you
Back in the days, Back in the days
There was polio, smallpox back in the days
Measles and mumps, man back in the days
But because of the vaccines none of those stayed
Vaccines they work to trigger immunity,
Two shots we got antibody security
We gotta act now no need to wait
Get your vaccine before it’s too late, For real…
Nostalgia - Although a hockey fan in the 80s I wasn't a fan of the Hartford Whalers. Took in a Whalers game while visiting a friend in Hartford and this song comes on as they score. It was so cheerful and made me smile. Was able to order the cassette tape from the Whalers.
