Any ending is a form of death, and how we "die" determines what happens next. If we haven't processed and healed everything, then we are likely to repeat lessons, whether in this life or the next. If, however, we process to completion and refill with God, then we have "died well," and we can then resurrect into a whole new life--literally and figuratively. If we know that we've done what we can to make a difference on this planet, we can die (now or later) knowing that we have lived well and can rest assured that we leave a world made better by our presence. And instead of mourning the loss of others, or having them mourn our departure, we can learn to understand that immediately following our last breath in the physical world is our first breath in the spiritual world. Passages from both “A Course in Miracles” and the Bible state that the ego uses death to confirm that we are limited mortal beings, which also then proves that something that God Created can actually die. But in truth, there is no death, which means we are NOT limited beings; we merely believe we are. Mr. Rogers gave us a brilliant example of what death is like: Think of a balloon blown up with air. Our body is like the balloon and our soul is like the air in the balloon. When the Body releases the soul or the balloon releases the air, the body/balloon lies limp and lifeless. But the air/soul that was once within is now released and is one with all else throughout the universe. The closing meditation at the end of this video is a fantastic way to take an inventory of where we are in our lives: regrets, shames, secrets, etc. and prepare to be reborn anew.
