Biking in Motovun and downhill to Parenzana trail. Motovun is a village and a municipality in central Istria, Croatia. In ancient times, both Celts and Illyrians built their fortresses at the location of present-day Motovun. The name of the village is also of Celtic origin, derived from Montona, meaning "a town in the hills".

Maksimir Park is the oldest public park in Zagreb, Croatia. It forms part of the city's cultural heritage and is a habitat for many different plant and animal species.
Founded in 1787, Maksimir Park was the first large public park in South-Eastern Europe, and predates the majority of Europe's public park foundings. The park was opened in 1794 under the initiative of the man for whom it was named - Maksimilijan Vrhovac of Zagreb (1752–1827). At that time, the park was located on the outskirts of the city, although today it is surrounded by many of the city's neighborhoods. It was formerly a dense forest of hornbeams (Carpinus betulus) and oaks (Quercus robur and Q. petraea). The area in total measures above 1,005 acres (4.07 km2).

Zaprešić is a town in Hrvatsko zagorje, Zagreb County in Croatia, near Zagreb. It has a population of 19,644 inhabitants in the town proper, with 25,223 in the administrative area. The town's metropolitan area, which encompasses the seven neighboring municipalities, has a population of 54,640.
-------
Šire područje Zaprešića zauzima područje od 251,8 km2 a čini ga grad Zaprešić i sedam okolnih općina: Bistra, Brdovec, Dubravica, Jakovlje, Luka, Marija Gorica i Pušća.
Josipa, grobnica obitelji Jelačić, perivoj, voćnjak, stambene i gospodarske zgrade, povrtnjak, obradivo zemljište i park-šuma.

Video of Abandoned University Hospital in Zagreb, Croatia filmed with DJI Mavic Mini Drone.
The Zagreb university hospital - from an ambitious plan to devastated and abandoned construction site.
Construction of the Zagreb university hospital started in 1985 and lasted until 1992 when it was halfway completed. Since then it's abandoned and every year it gets worse - most of the metal was scrapped by thieves and some areas have completely overgrown by weeds and trees.
At the start of the project the hospital was supposed to be a regular hospital, build in order to match the increasing population of Zagreb. But at some point during the construction it was decided that the hospital will become an university hospital centre - and the project was scaled up. Operating rooms were enlarged, student areas were added and the building size grew while te cost was not taken into account. At that time the project was presumably scaled because of rivalry - there were already two university hospitals in Yugoslavia, in Ljubljana and Belgrade but not in Croatia. When Croatia established independence from Yugoslavia and the war started all resources went into defense of the state and the project was put on hold. For years and years the city government delayed the resuming of the construction and eventually it came to the current state.
Now the hospital is in very bad state and it would take a lot of money just to resume it's construction. It's also deemed too large to mantain by the Croatian association of civil engineers. The best course of action would be to either tear the site down or to try to restructure it into something else. However, the situation is unlikely to change. The politicians know no one wants to hear the hard truth so the hospital issue is always avoided. Until someone makes up the courage to deal with the past mistakes the hospital will sit there, slowly deteriorating into a ruin.
