My first documentary on the life of children in the hell of the slums. Though most of the shots are taken from the streets of Kolkata only, who's gonna recognize that these places are not slums. The way people live in the heart of the city is just piteous. However I found most them are quite happy with their life. That shouldn't be a matter of pride for us. Thats a shame.
Well this is not a thesis or survey. So I was less bothered about collecting the data and ratios. I was not even interested in taking their interviews. It was beyond my wish too. All I have seen was only the misery in their eyes, and thats what I have describe in this film.
It took four days for the whole shot. Actually I was on another project with a different subject. But in the meantime they caught my eye and I couldn't stop myself getting close to them. And the feeling I got that moment, let it be for me only.

মুক্ত আকাশ জুড়ে একঝাঁক পাখি
আর হয়ত উপসংহারে

Of the children kidnapped or abducted in 2016, 73 percent were female and 27 percent male, NCRB data show. Of the total child victims, 31 percent (16,938) were kidnapped or abducted for the purpose of marriage, of which only one victim was male; 3 percent (1,562 female and 26 male) for illicit intercourse; and 1 percent each for other unlawful activity and adoption. No purpose was mentioned in fully 62 percent of cases.
77 percent attacks attributed to fake news
Of the 69 mob violence cases related to rumours of child lifting that have been reported, 77 percent were eventually attributed to fake news spread through social media. Mobile messenger application Whatsapp, in particular, featured as the rumour source in 28 percent or 19 of the cases.
The ministry of electronics and information technology on 2 July, 2018, issued a warning to Whatsapp, observing that “instances of the lynching of innocent people because of a large number of irresponsible and explosive messages filled with rumours and provocation are being circulated on WhatsApp”.
“Such a platform cannot evade accountability and responsibility especially when good technological inventions are abused by some miscreants who resort to provocative messages which lead to the spread of violence,” the ministry said subsequently in a press release on 3 July, 2018, stating clearly that “WhatsApp must take immediate action to end this menace and ensure that their platform is not used for such malafide activities”.

The 2020 Indian farmers' protest is an ongoing protest against the three farm acts which were passed by the Parliament of India in September 2020. The acts have been described as "anti-farmer laws" by many major farmer unions, and farmer unions and politicians from the opposition also say it would leave farmers at the "mercy of corporates". The government, however, maintains that they will make it effortless for farmers to sell their produce directly to big buyers.
Soon after the acts were introduced, unions began holding local protests, mostly in Punjab. After two months of protests, farmers— notably from Rajasthan and Haryana— began a movement named 'Dilli Chalo' (transl. Let's go to Delhi), in which tens of thousands of farmers marched towards the nation's capital. Police and law enforcement used water cannons and tear gas to prevent the farmers from entering Delhi. On 26 November, a nationwide general strike that reportedly involved approximately 250 million people took place in support of the farmers according to the trade unions that organised the protests. On 30 November, India Today estimated that between 200,000 and 300,000 farmers were converging at various border points on the way to Delhi.
Over 500 farmer unions have been protesting. Transport unions representing over 14 million trucker drivers and have come out in support of the farmers, threatening to halt movement of supplies in certain states. After the government failed to accept the farmers' demands during talks on 4 December, the farmers planned to escalate the action to another India-wide strike on 8 December 2020. From 12 December, farmers sieged the toll plazas and allowed free movement

Basanta Utsav literally means the ‘celebration of spring’. Rabindranath Tagore introduced it long ago. Festivals add color to life and if it is a festival of colors like Holi one may well imagine how it smudges all souls with joyousness.
I found this people crazy. Dancing, jumping, laughing and what else. I dont know they are real or fake but one thing is for sure, this is happening.
