Blog: https://psychreviews.org/the-presocratics-leucippus-and-democritus/ By accepting a void in the universe, the pre-Socratic Atomists were able to theorize in a different direction and influence both philosophy and science at the same time. Theorizing about man's place in the universe eventually led to theories about ethics and what the good life is supposed to be.

If we got lost on the path, the best way to get back on is to tend to causes and conditions and see what was forgotten. It all leads up to Right Concentration. You gain pleasure up the Jhanic arc, and develop rapture (Jhana 1), bliss (Jhana 2), satisfaction (Jhana 3), and equanimity (Jhana 4). These aren't spaced out states, sleep states, they're not a grind, but instead they are bright aware Flow states that are quite happy and peaceful.

Blog: http://psychreviews.org/meditation-chronic-pain/
I have another digital web review on Meditation but exclusively on dealing with Chronic Pain. As turbulent as it is to meditate with a stressful mind, it is much more difficult when there is physical pain. Both the mental and physical pain play off of each other and build. There is agreement with this in the book “The Mindfulness Solution to pain.” It states that “emotional stability contributes to a more manageable pain perception.” We cannot eliminate physical chronic pain but our emotional state can make it worse. Meditation can work to reduce the overall experience of pain, because “we function so much better when the body-mind dynamic feels better, and we are able to do more things.” As always don’t use these meditation instructions in place of professional medical care. Meditation is best when it is not the sole method used for your pain management.

The philosophical influence of the ancient city of Miletus, that supported Thales, continued its inspiration for another philosopher who created new theories and speculations on the origin of the world and what it means for humans to be. The fragmentary remains of his philosophy inspired others to interpret him for centuries, including the likes of Friedrich Nietzsche and Martin Heidegger. The philosopher was Anaximander of Miletus.

Diogenes was located by researchers to be living in the Thracian town of Apollonia in modern day Sozopol in Bulgaria. The town was started by Milesians, leading to conclusions that Diogenes was influenced by the Ionian school of pre-Socratics. In a way, he was an apotheosis of the pre-Socratics, where there was a need to harmonize the prior systems into one system in the 5th century BC.

Once victims have had their sense of self conditioned out of them, they have to rebuild it again in order to recover fully. There are lots of trap doors that slow down the healing process. Here are 5 tips for healing faster from Narcissistic Abuse.
1. Change your environment 1:00
2. Deal with Shame 2:37
3. Manage your anger 8:04
4. See your projections 11:01
