Exegesis of Colossians 1:24-29, in which St Paul explains why we should rejoice in our sufferings; It is because of “the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints”, that is only in the church. Everything we do is in the church. There is no salvation, no knowledge, no salvific endurance of suffering, no assent to perfection – outside of the church. In the midst of this exegesis we ,discuss how the vast majority of people have no idea what the churches, even if they consider themselves to be in the Orthodox Church, and concerning the nature of angels and demons, and of course, our purpose in life and how it is achieved.
After this exegesis we also give an intense apology for intercessory prayer, based on St. Paul’s words in the epistle for the following day: Colossians 2:4-5. There is only one way that we must encounter all of the troubles we see among those we need in life. It is the only way that will keep us spiritually and mentally healthy, and it is the only way that we can be connected to those that matter to us whether we are near or far away from them.

10:16 What is the end purpose of Christ being in us? “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus” Col 1:27-28
13:12 – 18:42 An intense apology for intercessory prayer: “And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. 5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.” Col 2:4-5
