This is a chest cam view of the official Klunker Run! We do this at least half a dozen times every season. Got some mud on the camera lens early on I did not discover it until the ride was almost over, but you can still see. Cheers!

Here is what I think you can do in your town to boost your local economy. More is less when you think about it; when you buy local, you might pay a few bucks more than some big corporate department store, but it is especially important in small-town America, where Main Street was doing just fine without that element not so long ago. That extra money you paid will come back to you much more likely if it remains circulating in your town and is not sent off to corporate headquarters states or counties away. Communities suffer when they give away their power and that's what happens when you shop in the big box. And if it is and if you must... as this is not an overnight, easy thing to which to transition... at least make sure that you support places that do give back to the community - through local sponsorships and actual participation in community events.

I am mostly a roadie, but I gotta take my dogs out, so I made these trails and it turned out to be a fairly technical riding park. Steeper than it looks with the wide camera angle.

It was not too long ago when phone companies were making a killing off of long-distance call plans and pushing sales of features most people never used. When cell phones first arrived on the market, you had to pay hundreds of dollars for the "brick," pay to put service on the phone which was called "air time," and on top of that you still had to purchase minutes and that did not include long-distance calls. I was once one of these suckers stuck with phone bills of several hundred dollars a month, so I could talk to my girlfriend a few states away, for hours and hours - and that was just a normal land-line!
However, now technology has finally come to a point where these services which once costs hundreds per month are now nearly free. All you need is a device with a browser or the ability to install mobile apps, an internet connection, and a google account. To use a standard analog telephone, you need a Polycom VOIP converter box (available on eBay, Amazon, etc for about $80). All instructions are found on the google voice platform.

Vlog! Lo-fi style. I recorded two songs in my usual 432hz tuned 12 string guitar in D (each string one whole step down, not to be confused with Drop-D, in which only the low 'E' string is tuned down a whole step).
Hence when I tune, I am actually tuning the 5th string, or normally the 'B' string, but since I'm a whole stop lower, and therefore an 'A' and instead of a 440hz 'A' it's a 432hz 'A' - slightly flat.
What I was going to say when the dogs interrupted me was that I have not had to change strings in over 10 years!! I used to break a string at least once a year prior to that. It was the de-tuning - less tension.

Feeling a little better today, I became inspired to make this video to show what all I am doing to heal my lower back injury. Some of this stuff is routine and some of it is specific to back injury therapy.
