Guyana is one of those destinations you wouldn't think as first on the list. However, this Caribbean country will surprised you for sure. Have a look of the things you can do there.
1) Spot the local wildlife
Not only the landscapes are beautiful, the fauna of Guyana is impressive. You should go there and it will surprise you with unique animals such as an anteater, a giant river otters, a harpy eagle, cock-of-the rock birds, black caymans and even a jaguar.
2) Go hiking
Althought the weather is very hot and wet, it's still a must do in Guyana. You can go to the Dolomites. Sometimes it has hard paths that will test your resistance. But in the end it will worth it. After a long day of hiking, you can always reward you with a nice meal, right?
3) Go on a boat ride
The best way to move around Guyana is by boat. If you go to the Rupununi rivers you won't regret it at all. Its local flora and fauna will amaze you as well as the beautiful landscapes that will surround you all the way, and make you feel alive.
4) Explore Georgetown
It's capital is a place you shouldn't miss. I's a colorful city full of local markets such as Bourda and Starbroek Market. Also, St. George’s Cathedral is one of the top Guyana tourist attractions and a must see. Plus a lot of more places to see. So, don't forget about it.
5) Walk through the forest
Well, taking into account its big jungle, of course, we recomendo you to go there and explore it. For sure, it will be kind of a new feeling for you. Inside the jungle birdwatching is a must do. But don't forget about the insects and muddy ground. Go prepared or don't go. We warned you...
6) Don't forget the canopy of Iwokrama
The Iwokrama Rainforest is a great way to appreciate the nature. You'll find a series of suspension bridges hoisted 30 meters above the forest floor from where where you could take the best pictures ever. The starting point is located at about 1 km from the lodge, via a walk in the forest and a staircase of around 160 steps.
7) Go to Kaieteur Falls
These are nothing like the Iguazu Falls or the Victoria Falls which are already wonderful. These falls will blow your mind with their spectacular views. The easiest way to go there is to taking a small plane in Georgetown, or you can always do a 5-day overland journey up river and go hiking.
8) Try the local food
Guyana melts different cultures in its food, such as Caribbean, Indian... and that will only get you licking your plate because of this absolutely delicious food full of tropical fruit and vegetables. However, keep in mind that the word “bake” in fact means fried dough of bread so that you won't have any misunderstanding
9) Sleep in hammocks
This is how most of the indigenous communities

If I were to ask you, where do you think the first bank was built? What would you say? Switzerland? Or maybe England? Italy perhaps? Well it was actually built in Iran! And it's over 1500 years old!
If you do a quick search on the internet, you'll find that most places cite the Banca Monte Dei Paschi Di Siena in Florence, Italy, as the first bank, but this wasn't built until 1472, considering that coins or tokens have been in use for at least 5000 years that seems a little odd. There were in fact many banks before the BMPS, but the BMPS is still functioning and therefore considered the first.
Banking was born from the need to store food or grain, basically, a farmer would harvest his crop and need to store it somewhere, a tally was taken of how much he had, a percentage was taken as a storage fee and he could then trade or consume the rest how he wished. With the creation of jewelry, precious gems, gold, and silver, this storage system became more of a security system and customers were charged for storing their deposits and keeping them safe.
The Sar Yazd Castle is the oldest bank and safe deposit box in the world today. Situated in the village of Sar Yazd in the Yazd province, Iran, this bank was built around the 3rd century AD and was designed and used to keep food, grains, and valuables safe in case of invasion. Made from mudbrick the bank itself looks like a huge sandcastle fortress but is in fact one of the most basic and yet most intelligent banks ever built.
First, attackers would have to cross a 20ft (6m) wide, 13ft (4m) deep moat, assuming the drawbridges were up, this would mean building a bridge or swimming across whilst under attack from eight 20ft high (6m) watchtowers. If they managed to get across, they would then have to breach the 20ft high (6m) external defensive wall that only has three ways in, each protected with a metal door to avoid it being burnt, all whilst under attack from the same eight watchtowers. If they managed to get past the first wall they would be confronted with the internal defensive wall, this one 30ft tall (9m) and protected by another 6 watchtowers, if somehow they managed to get past this wall whilst under attack from all 14 watchtowers, they would find a maze of 480 separate storage rooms on three different levels connected by thin twisting alleyways, this not only made it difficult for intruders to find and extract the valuables but disorientated and slowed them down making it easy to attack them from the watchtowers.
It is unknown how much customers were charged for depositing their valuables in this bank, but by looking at the amount of protection it was almost definitely worth it!

Planning a trip to Amsterdam? Here is Amsterdams Nightlife: Top 10 Dos And Don'ts!
1. Don't Be Scammed.
There is no such thing as a free canal cruise. If you want to go on one be sure to pick a well-known canal cruise tour.
Don't buy tulip bulbs in spring, tulip bulbs have to be planted in Autumn and so healthy bulbs can only be bought in this season.
Only rent bikes from proper bike shops, the guy outside your hotel trying to get you to rent a bike, probably stole it.
Don't buy herb from street vendors, only Coffeeshops are licensed to sell it.
2. Don't Pay Multiple Entrance Fees.
The best way to experience all the nightclubs Amsterdam has to offer is to get a Nightlife ticket, this ticket will give you free admission to over 30 nightclubs as well as many other benefits. https://amsterdamnightlifeticket.com/
3. Stick To Beer And Wine.
Cocktails are rather expensive in Amsterdam and it is also a lot easier to over-indulge when drinking spirits, so if you want to party all night without ending it with an empty wallet, and an empty stomach then we suggest you stick to beer and wine, it's cheaper and easier to control.
4. Start Early.
Even though bars will stay open till around 3 am and clubs until around 5 am, if you're looking to save some money it's best to start your night early. Taxis are expensive so it's best to travel via tram or bus, however, the bus and tram service stops after midnight so unless you want to pay for a taxi at the end of the night, you're better off starting early and catching the last bus home.
5. Stay At A Hostel And Start Your Night There.
Amsterdam's hostels are actually stylish and unique and in general, a lot nicer than your average hostel, in addition to being cheaper than your average hotel. Most hostels also have a fun atmosphere and serve reasonably priced alcohol making them not only a great place to stay but also a great place to start your night out.
6. Watch What You Wear.
Most clubs don't enforce a strict dress code, as long as you look fairly respectable, ripped jeans, scruffy shirts, and dirty shoes will probably get you turned away at the door but a nice top and pair of jeans and clean comfy shoes should get you into almost every club except possibly the high-end clubs like Jimmy Woo. You should also practice looking sober too because if the doorman thinks you're drunk he'll probably turn you away.
7. Summer Concerts.
If you're traveling to Amsterdam in the summer make sure you keep some nights free for non-clubbing events. Any given weekend there can be up to 200 events happening, including the Kwaku Summer Festival and ARTIS Summer Nights, urban beaches like Sloterplas and Amsterdam Bos open up, and rooftop terraces suddenly turn into party venues.
8. Don't Get Caught Without Food.
Most restaurants,

The belief that dolphins and sharks are mortal enemies isn't strictly true. TV series like "Flipper", pop culture, and surfing wisdom may have led us to believe that sharks will not come close to dolphins, but because both species are carnivores, and their prey tends to move together in shoals, you are more than likely to find them occupying the same area of ocean. However, sharks will avoid confrontation with dolphins, and if a dolphin feels threatened it will barge into the shark or butt it with its nose and the shark will swim away. Sometimes these encounters can be quite aggressive and the shark may flee battered and bruised.
So why doesn't the shark respond? it is, after all, a highly skilled predator. Well, in general, sharks prefer their prey to be slower, weaker, and dumber than themselves and a Dolphin isn't really any of these,
-Dolphins are more agile.
They have soft skin and a flexible skeleton, sharks are more cartilaginous and have thicker skin, (except on their belly),
-Dolphins have more range of movement.
They have horizontal tail fins this not only enables them to move left and right and accelerate very quickly but also enables them to move up and down with ease.
Sharks have vertical tail fins, while this allows them to accelerate and move left and right quickly, its harder for them to move up and down (which is not great when you've got a soft belly)
-Dolphins always outnumber the shark
Dolphins live together in Pods of up to a dozen, depending on the species. Sharks are generally solitary.
-Dolphins communicate better.
Dolphins use Echolocation, so they can quickly navigate through the water, and identify, avoid, or attack any threat they encounter.
-Dolphins know the shark's weak spot.
When a Dolphin attacks a shark, it positions itself directly underneath it and then bursts upwards and hits the shark in its soft belly with its snout, just like a battering ram.
The shark can neither see this attack coming nor avoid it if it did.
All of these qualities mean that compared to the dolphin, the shark is thoroughly outclassed. and though they may not swim away as soon as they see a dolphin,
Just like a bully that knows he's been bettered, they will look at the floor and try to pretend they don't exist.

1. Don't Worry About Getting Seasick.
Most modern cruise ships are so big that seasickness is rarely a problem, they also tend to avoid areas with rougher weather and have stabilizers fitted to reduce the ship's side-to-side motion. This being said, it can't hurt to pack some Dramamine just in case.
2. Don't Book Last Minute.
Whereas booking late may be beneficial when flying or booking a package holiday, with cruises the opposite seems to apply. Cruise lines tend to offer their best prices first, then, as demand increases and ships sell out they raise them.
Also, booking early gives you a better pick of the cabins available.
3. Don't Book Off-Season.
Booking a cruise off-season can be a lot cheaper, less overcrowded, and even offer special promotions, but, the weather will probably be worse, excursions could be canceled and some activities may not even be available. So, although by booking off-season you may save hundreds of dollars if you only go on holiday once a year it probably isn't worth risking spending it stuck in a cabin on a choppy sea.
4. Don't Underpack!
Don't fret about bringing too much on a cruise, there are no limits on the amount of luggage that you can bring aboard, just bear in mind that if you are flying to the port, airports do have luggage restrictions.
Pack your suitcase thinking about the excursions you plan to go on, the duration of the cruise and the fact that cruise ships do actually have a laundry service.
5. Don't book Cruise Line Excursions
Cruise line excursions are less hassle and you'll be sure to get back to the ship on time, but they are more expensive, often underwhelming and they'll make you feel like cattle being herded around. In places where the port is a long way from the sights a Cruise line excursion makes sense but in places like Monte Carlo where you can walk to the castle and casino, or St Thomas where you can get a taxi to the beach you're better off going alone! Although be sure to get back on time!
6. Don't Get Left Behind!
Make sure you know exactly what time the ship is leaving, often there will be a difference between ship time and port time so be aware of which one it is. If a cruise line excursion is running late the ship will wait or they'll transport you to the next port free of charge, however, if a private excursion is late, they won't. Be sure to plan to arrive back at least a couple of hours before the ship departs to allow for any delays.
7. Don't Pick A Cruise Based On Your Age.
Just because you are young it doesn't mean you love clubbing and just because you're old it doesn't mean you're in bed by 8. Pick your cruise based on the events and activities that it offers and not the age group that it is marketed for.
8. Don't Pick A Cabin Rashly.
Some people prefer inside cabins bec

These fishermen of the Yulong River, Yangshuo, China, use the 1,300 year-old technique of cormorant fishing!
They first tie a knot around the base of the bird's gullet, release it into the water where it catches a fish, is unable to swallow it, and brings it back to its master.
The fisherman then gives it a smaller snack as reward, much like a trained dog!
