At it's heart, it is a fuzz face circuit but where all of the fixed value resistors are swapped out for potentiometers (aka knobs) so you can dial in exactly how you want your fuzz to sound. What comes along with this unlimited tweakibility is the option to push your circuit to the breaking point, quite literally as you can dial in settings that render the fuzz useless.
