In this video we show you how to extend the life of your garlic and how to process it so you always have chopped garlic ready to be used in an instant. We also show you how to peel garlic with a well known hack that saves you heaps of time. We like to keep the biggest heads of garlic whole in a dry, dark place for when we need it. They normally last around six months, so after that, we process whats left like we do here to extend its life. The tiniest cloves we leave unpeeled so we can plant them around November for next years crop. All the rest, we process, which should give us enough garlic for the next 4 months. We do love garlic! When you need some garlic for a quick plate of pasta or something, take a cube or two out of the freezer and onto to chopping board. Cutting it in pieces with the heel of a chefs knife will make it defrost much quicker, but be very careful and watch your fingers!
