It took a while to get this together but here is part 2 of my Resident Evil fan edit trilogy. So many cuts here and the opening may throw some people off without a little context here.
The opening I plugged in here is the opening from part 5 of the 6 original movies - this edit however are the 3rd and 4th films. Given where part 1 ends on everything being up in the air, and with this starting us off here makes us feel Carlos and Alice started a normal life hiding from Umbrella.
Like the first part there are no credits and I have included imdb links for viewers to read and check up on.

P.S.
I changed the song used at the end of part 4 to a French post metal band, Year of No Light. I don't own any of the material used in this artistic endeavor of mine. For these folks here's a bandcamp link to album I got the song from. Check em out!

Here it is! The last of my fan edits of the Resident Evil series. Please feel free to comment, like, share, and donate if you like what you saw. Otherwise it will be a little while before I get around to handling something of this size anytime soon. If you are a movie maker and want some help editing your video together then let's start a dialogue!
I am a fan of the game series a lot more than the films here and am looking forward actually to seeing what the reboots will turn out like.
The only thing that bothered me really between these two movies was a big no-no. In part 5 Wesker is helping Alice to save the world from the Red Queen AI, somehow still in operation, and controlling viral weapons from - according to 6 - deep underground in the Hive from the first film. Then, for whatever reason, in the last movie, the Red Queen is a good guy? Wtf happened between the two? Shame! The narrative falls apart fast in the last movie and that is a major reason this run time is below 2 hours, despite it being 2 separate films. There was a lot taken out.
So, what I did was cut the Red Queen almost entirely out of the picture and the "real" Alice. I prefer it being the real Alice died at the end of the first of my edits and the other two cuts are the clone of her. To me this is much better than the ham fisted take of Alice being a clone of a Umbrella board member with advanced aging. I love Milla, but damn that was her worst role playing this older version of Alice. Gone!
There are some things in this cut that bothered me but there is no way to fix it without adding Alicia or the Red Queen back into the narrative, and dismantle everything I tried doing here. One being that the door takes Wesker's foot for no reason, a deus ex machina, as story writing terms go. Just happens! Whatever, moving on.
The ending seems a little lack luster as it just ends and that's it. This is because the original ending for no reason has Alice survive and the Red Queen made it, too. Even though the lab she was housed in is dust by the end of the movie? ... Again, someone lay off the cheese here and give me a solid story to get involved in here, please. Claire's fate is undetermined as she never leaves the lab and it blows up, of course. So, RIP Claire. All of the characters are gone, monsters are slain. The world is near empty.
And a little note on the previous cut I did for part 2 of this trilogy: that desert crap, where the world is turned into a dust bowl... yeah they forgot about that right away in the following original movie. And the cure that was in that desert lab that never got used, like at all. Unless you think that Isaacs used it all on himself before he turned. Maybe. Benefit of the doubt there.
I also noticed some resintment towards male characters in this movie, not all, but a few times I got a girl power feel. Gone! No problem with women in lead roles or in action movies for me, but make it realistic. We got Ripley in Alien and Sarah Connor, both lead female roles, believable and they kick ass at the same time.
Again, no credits, unless someone wants to get in contact with me to add some title cards in and ending credits. I'm resorting to listing imdb.com links below for a full cast and crew roster on these movies because respect.
